  1. If we can hold onto 80-90% snow, 6” looks doable for sure
  2. Sounds like a college party
  3. LFG!!! Temp down to 22.5 - heavy snow
  4. Yessir! Came in hot and heavy
  5. It’s the law… @Skywalker03
  6. Looks like that band stretches from you to me and beyond. Actually surprised how quickly that escalated
  7. Nope. It’s a snow hole. Itll collapse fairly quickly come 5-530
  8. snow — 23.9/19 — 1mph wind out of the NE
  9. Welp. Guess I’m staying up. It’s already quite lovely out there. Looks like that band will remain overhead and train NE for a while until the goods arrive
  10. Would be lovely to get a little fill in between these areas of precip as it heads our way
  11. Rates getting better fairly quickly under this band that spans back to Winchester. Guess I’d consider it on the heavier side of “light snow” approaching moderate
  12. Hey! It’s snowing hard enough that I don’t have to squint to see it! Woooohooo. Let’s see how temps react.
  13. Keep us posted!!! You’ll be a solid gauge for the mix line!
  14. Looks like decent returns beginning to make their way into Winchester. We’re getting close!
  15. Hard to fall asleep with flakes flying out there / snow imminent! Very Light snow has begun here with that band at the MD/PA border
  16. Alarm set for 6. Steady snow should be overhead with heavies inbound
  17. SREF 3z mean. 4-6 for DC/BAL 6-8 far NW, small stripe of 8-10 north of Winchester
  18. I work for Apple, so I’m not terribly mad about the free access hehe. In my opinion, it’s a great app and is usually pretty spot on.
  19. Thank you! Much appreciated. That’s actually a lot more data than I expected it to consider. Damn. That’s solid news for the immediate west and north Baltimore suburbs. Shows 8-12” for Baltimore. Gutsy
  20. Multiple stations showing a drop of 4+ degrees in a very short period in West Virginia under heavy snow banding. Man, if we can get back down to 20-22 as the heavies are overhead, It’s going to be a really fun morning. A few hours of nice accumulation looking more likely. Shame the precip didn’t move in at midnight.
  21. Wonder what model dark sky uses for its forecast algorithm. It’s an “up to the minute” kind of weather app. Forecast changes every hour - perhaps the HRRR? Now has 7-11” for my brother in ellicott city and 5-9” for my area. Odd considering every forecast until tonight had my area getting more (in line with guidance) I expect climo to help me out here in this setup but I’m definitely curious what models that app relies on for its data.
  22. 6z HRRR 24 hour QPF - 95 from dc to BAL 0.9-1.0
  23. Looks like 3-6 for Baltimore? Right about where 2-4 and 4-8 meet
