Starting sleet* There was a warm layer near dc and bwi to start. It’ll flip to snow. Not sure how long it holds though

It already busted. Sleet in Leesburg Man… that warm nose loves to seek out NoVA south of Winchester. 2/7 was similar. Snow in Maryland - same latitude. Wonder what causes that

Not a huge fan of future radar, but dark sky only goes about 45 mins out and is typically pretty reliable. By 6 am, the heavies should be over nearly the entire CWA

I know models showed us under very heavy precip from 7a-1pm, but I’m not sure I recall any showing this type of banding overhead at 4 am. God damn it’s beautiful outside. ps - the snow hole in central MD is filling. Should be snowing there by 5
