    It's been minimal dustings out here. Hope we can score something better in the next couple days, but hopes are tempered.

    For starters, I have to avoid sunlight. So there's that. Pretty uncomfortable in long sleeves, pants, and hat. basically dressed like a beekeeper. Today's new materials to block the sun are better but still not ideal.

    I don't like FL. Any part of it. Folks lived in Hollywood for 20 years. Just an awful place IMO. Had some hair raising experiences there ( including Tampa ) none of them good, and a couple almost lethal. The last time I went I almost never left the hotel. Anyway, what we want doesn't really matter, right? Mother nature is gonna do her thing. I miss Mulen's commentary.

    When things move east that is bad for my area. Am west of the city. Only the Jan 2016 storm in recent years plastered us; every other one was a near miss, with us getting a few inches instead of double digits, at least every one of the big ones.

    So should most C/NNJ write this one off? ( I mean I have kinda written then winter off already, but I keep getting dragged back in, only to be mostly disappointed )

    Yeah well I need a day off so I want an big impact. Sorry. And sorry you have to go to Tampa, or anywhere in Fl, for any reason.

    Yeah I saw that just now. I sure hope so, but it didn't seem like it from reading the posts. What a strange winter.

    Or a lot of sleet? It is March after all, we've been known to sleet while others snow to the north of us.

    I'm not sure what to think; SI has a WAA just across the Arthur Kill, but Mt Holly has nothing. They don't seem impressed with Sun night either. Not hearing talk about it here so I guess it's nothing to get excited about.

    Other than the very notable lack of snow it has been a fairly cold winter though the cold has been in brief shots. Just think a weird set of connections didn’t favor us this year. Let’s see what April brings.

    Some are saying that, some are not. I'm not sure of anything, except that we can't buy a decent storm this year.

    Thanks for the clarification. People seem to be jumping on the Sat event now and throwing in the towel on Sunday.

    Thought snowgoose wrote that rain was the least likely outcome...this stuff changes from hour to hour. Is something supposed to happen tonight? My expectations are tempered and will not be surprised if my area doesn't see more than 2 inches total for the weekend. It's been that kind of year.

    Had a surprise dusting this morning. Gone by 10 am, but unexpected. A bit icy out.

    Question, as someone who has only a passing grasp of this stuff, if nothing has really changed about all the factors needed for a decent snow this year, why would we expect this to be any different from the multiple disappointments so far? Serious question.

    Philly to Boston essentially; my BIL in ME is screaming at the snow. Folks I met from NC had a ten inch storm, about what we've gotten for the whole season, most of that in Nov.

    It's warm enough for my skin to recover, but generally, yeah, " April is the cruelest month." Then we go right to hot and muggy with algae overgrown lakes and fish kills.

    I'm too close to the city to be worried about back door snows, March ain't a big performer out here. But cold rains and easterly winds, yeah, that would suck.

    Ya know I keep hearing too about no blocking screwing us this winter, yet this has not prevented areas to the south of us from getting snow. I've thrown in my towel, and am not gonna invest too much in any piddly events that might eke out a few inches here or there before spring. I am more than ready for warmth, this latest cold snap has my skin drying out again, and I'm just sick of the cold rain and dry cold. Spring can't come soon enough.
