  1. He's gonna need a pop-up book of an elephant.
  2. My youngest is two and has a weather pop-up book he likes. He keeps opening and closing the snowflake picture over and over, saying "See snowflake! See snowflake!" This disease starts at a young age. LOL
  3. You know some of them will hold on to the bitter end. They'll be posting maps in mid-April when it's 85 degrees saying the pattern looks ripe in two weeks for a redux of April 28, 1898.
  4. So when does the 2010 pattern kick in again? By this time in 2010 I had over 50” of snow. This year I’ve had three glorified cartoppers and a week’s worth of cold.
  5. It’s mostly turned into a cult of personality around a dozen or so posters, most of whom have known each other since the dail-up era.
  6. No complaints here either, I’ve been enjoying it quite a bit! Been doing a lot of outdoor daytrips. If it’s not going to snow, sunny and warm is the next best thing.
  7. The goalposts are quietly being moved. Now it’s all the last week of February into early March. I didn’t think a dry February was even possible in a Nino?
  8. This is a bit off topic, but I keep remembering there was a massively hyped HECS that was supposed to be a few days after Christmas a few years back. The models I think had it for a very long time up until a few days before. Was that 2018?
  9. I'm not from the area but was reading through this list and I'm shocked at those 1989 numbers. I had no idea Norfolk had all that snow that year! There wasn't any up here. Anyway, interesting list, I enjoyed reading it and hope you post the March ones. I've been curious about climo there.
  10. Weenies gonna get roasted by a can kick in a few weeks
  11. Well PSU said it's going to be on Feb 24 + or - a few days so that should do it, I'm screwed.
  12. Yeah, usually our "snowy" March is just one event. 2014 was arguably the most extreme March here ever, with multiple snows and wall-to-wall cold. The odds of something like that happening again in our lifetimes is probably very low.
  13. I've got a Dr. appt. on Feb. 28 that I've had to wait over a month for- that'll be our one-and-only HECS date, trust me.
  14. I agree, the Ravens should have played a better game. As WxWatcher said earlier ITT, you definitely don't want to leave it in the hands of the refs. Especially when you're up against the team the league likes with a ref known to be biased against the home team. I mean I could write a whole essay about Chiefs/Mahomes favoritism from the league, but I don't have the time. It's like watching the Brady/New England stuff all over again.
  15. The Chiefs are the current darlings of the NFL leadership; I’m sure Goodell’s quite happy they got this result.
  16. Yep, it’s not what the refs call, it’s what they don’t call. If you ever attend a game in person (as I often did years ago) it’s even crazier the stuff you’ll see that’s missed.
  17. Idk if I would call it flat-out rigged, but the NFL definitely wants certain outcomes. The Ravens are a small market and their super bowls draw low ratings, whereas with the Chiefs they’re guaranteed a huge ratings boost from Swifties. One of many reasons I stopped watching NFL years ago and only casually keep track.
  18. I’ve had enough of Taylor Swift and Perfect Track Rainstorms.
  19. 78 here. Took the kids to the beach this afternoon, it was crowded. Happy winter!
  20. It drives me nuts when people say “we’re due for an 09/10 because the last seven years sucked.” Gambler’s Fallacy
  21. I was shocked to find out it's even worse for BWI; they haven't had a WSW in February or March since 2015! If we can't score in February in this Nino, then idk what to say....
  22. He’s watching the long range thread right now:
