I think initially it will be a issue but hope is changes around mid month. Remember Canada’s above avg is below here as we get deeper into December

Good. Hopefully this means it will weaken for the second half of the winter. Last winter it was real weak at this time and gain strength at the end of December

Very good points. Along with masks, I wish the message would get back to washing your hands and not touching your face. I think over the last few months those 2 points have been lost in all of this

I don’t have a strong opinion on the masks either way but it’s funny how bulletproof the theory is. If the cases go down it’s because of masks or if they go up it’s because no enough people are wearing them. Everywhere I go I see people with masks on. The country has the highest cases we have had all year! Are the masks really working?

Something has definitely flipped. We haven’t had a cold stretch of weather since December 2017 in winter. We have also not had a east coast blizzard since 2016. Perhaps this is just the new normal

Yeah, 17-18 was a classic Niña winter. Cold December to early January, then the pattern flipped to warmth until a SSW brought blocking for March.

When NYC is breaking record lows you know it’s a legit airmass. This morning temp of 34 broke the old record and coldest temps since 1891 in May. -

In glad you see the benefit of it and I would love to read your input on things. Unfortunately we have votes from posters that have found others homes or have a total post count of 100 that are being counted....imo they shouldn't count
