  1. Lol. Yep. Continue that look into January 1. Not a hint of change on them
  2. Well I can’t speak for February or March as it’s such a long ways away. My early thinking for December is mild with below a high snow. I just don’t see how we reverse this look in time. The weeklies today continue the Niña pattern into 2021
  3. Until the Pv weakens we will be stuck with negative anomalies where we don’t want them. I think any pattern flip will need to wait until after the middle of December.
  4. It will be interesting to see where the mjo goes after p2. If we enter the warm phases it will probably get torchy for December. The weeklies yesterday didn’t look nearly at bad as they did on Monday. They had more of a -nao look with a changing pacific
  5. Yeah, p2 response of the mjo. Looks blocky in the nao region as well.
  6. It’s amazing how unfavorable that period has been in recent years. When was the last decent February? 2015?
  7. Amazing how persistent this pattern has been this month
  8. Eps trending warmer after a brief cold shot for the weekend before thanksgiving. I could see another run of 60’s 70’s for the northeast
  9. Very nice outlook Tom. Hard to disagree with any of this currently.
  10. Something has definitely flipped. We haven’t had a cold stretch of weather since December 2017 in winter. We have also not had a east coast blizzard since 2016. Perhaps this is just the new normal
  11. Thank you for the kind words. It was a successful trip.
  12. It was amazing out in the ocean today. We caught our limit and it felt like summer. If we are not going to have winter this year I will take this every day.
  13. Yep. We that -pna the temps will cool quickly. With the Pv currently strengthening and unfavorable mjo I don’t see this changing for a while
  14. Yeah, weeklies were around +1-2 after week 2. I think we get a cool shot around the 17th which has support on the eps
  15. Last winter we had a -ao in November then never saw it again
