  1. I expected the mjo to park in p4/5/6 and the Pv to be uber strong. The -nao will come in April 2021 when we don’t want it.
  2. It’s a shame we couldn’t break 95-96 seasonal snow totals during that period at the park. We had a good run but the park had some bad luck during it.
  3. .27. Has the back of the summer heat finally broken? Looks normal to below normal going forward
  4. Gfs is pretty wet from nyc south tomorrow .5 for nyc and 1.00+ for Snj
  5. Euro is further south. Just some light rain for the area if anything
  6. Gfs bumped north. Has about .25-.50 for the metro. More for Li and jersey shore
  7. Just speaking climo....Niña tends to be snowy in December.
  8. We are due for a string of ratters, so it would not shocked me if we have another mild/snowless winter. La Niña is typically not snowy around here. Personally, I’m in no rush for winter. With covid restrictions and cold weather it makes for a depressing time. The warmer weather has at least made the pandemic more tolerable
  9. I need this to stay weak to have a chance down here It will be nice to cool the western pac so the mjo isn’t married to P5-6
  10. This summer has been amazing! I love the heat, storms, and hurricanes! Keep it coming! Do we really want winter with 50’s and rain? No thanks
  11. Parts of the region experienced wind gusts past 70 mph. Sites reporting wind gusts of 70 mph or above included: Berkeley Twp, NJ: 75 mph Blue Point, NY: 71 mph Cape May NOS, NJ: 75 mph Grasonville, MD: 71 mph Great Gull Island, NY: 73 mph Great South Bay, NY: 75 mph Farmingdale, NY: 78 mph Jackson Heights, NY: 73 mph New York City-JFK Airport: 70 mph Ocean City, NJ: 72 mph Rutgers, NJ: 70 mph Smyrna Landing (2 NW), DE: 96 mph Stony Brook, NY: 75 mph Toms River, NJ: 70 mph impressive @donsutherland1
  12. Quick hitting storm! It’s actually not that bad outside currently. Time to grill some steaks
  13. @Parsley in da house! Hope all is well! You guys got rocked with the rain in eastern Pa
  14. It was definitely a bit drier then I expected along the coast. I would have thought feeder band would have produced better rains. The tor threat was largely a bust around the metro as it never materialized. That being said, the rain was impressive in eastern Pa and the wind did not disappoint us. (Unless you took those wind maps as gospel)
  15. Thankfully we didn’t loose power here. I’m ready to clean up and get back in the boat!
