  1. You’re trying to hard lol. It’s happening this month. We will have the -epo/+pna/-ao/-nao it’s a deadly combo for snow and cold. The SSW happen yesterday which will seal the deal on January.
  2. This includes my backyard....swan dive worthy if that’s what this pattern leads to lol
  3. We will get artic air by the second half of the month. The TPV moves south into Canada then the -NAO/-ao put a squeeze play on it,
  4. 18z euro 2-4 around Chicago metro overnight
  5. I wonder if the block retrogrades into the epo/pna domain by the start of February in response to the ssw ?
  6. That or Tool fuel are the way to go
  7. Best weeklies run since March 2018. They look absolutely perfect for the month of January
  8. That’s a blocking pattern with lower hgts south of it. We won’t get artic cold until the end of January IMO. Once the pac improves it’s going to be off to the races snow wise
  9. The block is just bullying everything to the point where our chances start before the 10th
  10. Encouraging signs if you want snow before the 10th on the guidance today
  11. You will be fine in the snow department. You live in a great area and the pattern favors you the next two weeks
  12. I think canonical Niña February is in trouble because of the ssw and this not acting like a nina
  13. This year and the previous winter are completely different. The vortex and mjo forcing ended our winter last year. This year the vortex is getting obliterated and we have blocking. I get what you’re saying but this has Merit IMO.
  14. Don’t disagree with @bluewave. We might be on the doorsteps on a active winter period starting around mid month. Patience will be needed as the block and pac become more favorable
  15. We didn’t have one last winter. We got close to it to start December 2019 but then it gained strength and ended our winter
  16. Yeah, it’s not a true block. Those red colors are from the pac puke invading Canada.
