  1. Stay the course! Im hopeful for January
  2. Nice changes with the eps this afternoon. Blocking moves into the Ap region while the low north of Japan moves into the Aleutians
  3. Yeah, I just don’t get why the definite statements. Take it two weeks at a time. agree, the vortex is not super strong like 19/20 where it was lights out. We will have chances in January
  4. Strat forecast can only be taken 2 weeks at a time. If we were to get a ssw it wouldn’t show up in the long range. I also question that tweet a bit, as the Pv will be taken a hit to start January
  5. Should be a fun game to watch today in Seattle
  6. Yeah, it’s convection (like thunderstorms in the summer) hard to really predict so far in the future. I think we go 7-(weakly) 8-1-2 It probably gets back in 3/4 to start February unfortunately
  7. Latest olr map gets it into 8 finally but weakly. Perhaps that’s why we are seeing the ensembles flip the pac in the 11-15 day now
  8. Yeah, looks like a strat hit that will send cold our way around the 1st. After that the pac looks to reshuffle around the 7th.
  9. @snowman19 no pattern lasts forever. It will flip just like every pattern the past few years that usually lasts 4-6 weeks
  10. The tpv ended up sitting over main and sent everything south
  11. I thought we had a shot at the record during the winter of 13/14 but march ended up cold/dry
  12. 48/29 her today. A bit above avg but nothing crazy like the talk earlier in the week on Twitter
  13. Knyc was 40/30 yesterday with .2 of snowfall for the Christmas Eve torch
  14. Enjoy!!!!! With a ice storm in sne. Glad we don’t live in Texas
  15. High 48 today so much for the Christmas torch
  16. I think we get to this look at some point in January
  17. Looks like a hit on the Pv will lead to a cold shot between January 1-3. After that the ridge will flex again as we wait for the epo to move east a bit
  18. Great stuff! I was wrong as well about the magnitude of the pna. Unfortunately, the 11-15 day can over smooth the anomalies but when we get closer certain signals trend stronger. I completely agree, if this pna was just normal and centered over the Rockies it would have been a completely diff outcome for our area. The only thing the nao is doing is keeping it from being 70 degrees every day. If we didn’t have the nao currently we would be breaking record highs daily
