    It has been snowing for 5 hours in the midlands area of SC and there is barely a dusting. These flakes are sooo tiny! Really need to get bigger flakes with heavier rates to get anything decent.

    Went from flurries to light/moderate snow in Columbia, SC. Big flakes coming down now.

    WWA upgraded to WSW for Columbia, SC . It's currently sleeting like crazy here with this unexpected band of precip stretching in from GA.

    Tiny sleet pellets starting to fall in Columbia, SC. Radar isn't showing anything but it's coming down.

    I'm in Camden, SC and we have a decent amount of trees and power lines down in the area. The transmission line that supplies power to the city is damaged so all power is out here. Duke owns the line and there is no estimate on when it will be repaired.

    I have been closely watching the track and the differences between the global models and hurricane models. They seem to be in decent agreement on the landfall spot, but after that there is a big difference in track (in my opinion). I am located in the central midlands of SC so a track through GA that is further east will probably mean higher winds here. A track over or west of Atlanta will likely mean less wind. Either way, Helene is a monster and is going to cause a lot of damage.
