At 712 PM EDT, a strong gust front with heavy downpours and possibly a thunderstorm was located along a line extending from Rockaway to near Martinsville to near Levittown, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines. * Gust front with heavy downpours and possibly a thunderstorm will be near... Plainfield around 725 PM EDT. Summit and Millburn around 730 PM EDT. Orange and Clark around 735 PM EDT. Elizabeth and Passaic around 740 PM EDT. Newark and Lyndhurst around 745 PM EDT. Jersey City and Bayonne around 750 PM EDT. The Verrazano Narrows Bridge and Midtown Manhattan around 755 PM EDT. Flatbush and Coney Island around 800 PM EDT.
  2. Squall line looks to be intensifying on radar as it makes it's way through western NJ. No lightning as per the radar apps.

  4. How would you grade this winter (Dec, Jan, Feb) as a whole? I give it a B- only because January had virtually no snow and there was no real cold air (single digits for NYC) this entire winter. My apologies if I missed previous posts like this.
  5. -4 dew point at my station now in Sheepshead Bay. RH of 17% Temp of 38.
  6. Winds starting to pick up as of 1pm. Gusting to low-mid 30 mph range at the area airports. Dew points mainly in the mid to upper teens.
  7. Doesn’t seem as windy as predicted, or is it still a little early for the strongest winds?
  8. Dews in the teens-20's with RH values mostly in the teens around the tri-state area. Red flag warnings for much of Connecticut and SWS for enhanced fire risk for much of the remaining area.

  11. Squeaked out another .5 inch today. Storm total of 4 inches here in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn.
  12. Is the consensus on here that the NAM was the most correct model with this system?
  13. 3.5 here in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn. Glaze of ice on any untreated surfaces with the freezing drizzle that has been ongoing for several hours. Temp has been holding at 28 all afternoon/evening.
  14. Almost all sleet now in upper Manhattan by the GW Bridge
  15. Moderate snow and temp dropped to 25 from 29. Coating on all surfaces here in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn
