I wonder how many full tankers are just floating at sea being used as storage tanks, waiting for prices to rebound before they unload their cargo. -

I can’t see how someone with an approval rating around 45% can win in a landslide. I could see him pulling this out of his ass again but a lot will depend on turnout and whether Bernie supporters would cut off their noses to spite their faces and either vote for Trump or not vote at all. I don’t know if you’re a Bernie Bro but just stop and think if you want another 4 years of a president that’s an embarrassment to the office. -

What are you basing this on? I’ve heard from people that voted for Trump last time that think they made a mistake. -

The virus will not just disappear. Look at diseases like polio. Every year there were outbreaks that left people in fear of being paralyzed. It wasn’t until Jonas Salk discovered a vaccine that polio became a memory. With proper testing we may be able to manage the Corona virus but it will take a vaccine to really put it past us. Until then, like Cuomo said, be prepared for a new normal. -

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Former NFL kicker Tom Dempsey, who played in the NFL despite being born without toes on his kicking foot and made a record 63-yard field goal, died late Saturday while struggling with complications from the new coronavirus, his daughter said. He was 73. The Times-Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate first reportedDempsey's death. Ashley Dempsey said Sunday that her father, who has resided in an assisted living home for several years after being diagnosed with dementia, tested positive for the coronavirus a little more than a week ago. -

Syracuse, N.Y. — Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon is calling for a voluntary “shelter in place” for the next two weeks to fight the coronavirus. The voluntary shelter in place order starts Tuesday. An order that would close most golf courses begins at 8 p.m. Monday and runs through April 27. “Now we need more sacrifice,” he said. “We can only win if we’re doing this together." McMahon admitted he can’t enforce it. It does not apply to essential workers. And you can still run errands to get food and medicine, if needed. But he’s asking people to go out every other day for medicines, groceries and other essentials in order to stem the spread of the virus. People can still go for walks in their neighborhoods, with their families and roommates, any day of the week. Here’s how it will work: If you were born in an even year, such as 1970, then run errands on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. If you were born in an odd year, such as 1971, then go out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Sundays will alternate. On April 12 even years go out; on April 19, odd years go out. The order runs from April 7 to April 21. McMahon said he didn’t know if there were other, similar voluntary requests in New York. “This disease, this virus is a killer,” McMahon said. “It killed five of our neighbors.” These next two weeks are critical, he said. This is when this community can dramatically stop more people from getting sick and overwhelming the hospital system, he said. In a big surge, Onondaga County could need 300 ventilators, McMahon said, adding the county doesn’t have that many. That’s why he’s calling for people to stay separate and stay home. “We need the community’s buy-in,” he said. “We have an opportunity right now to flatten this curve.” Without those measures, some models show we could be stuck in this pattern — with most businesses closed — into the summer. He’s also closing all golf courses, except for those run by the state. “I don’t think there’s been a bigger complaint than golf courses,” McMahon said of people continuing to play. “People are going out playing with their buddies playing golf.” McMahon said New York officials support the decision. “The data is driving our decisions,” he said. -

First of all they both appear to be over 65 therefore they are on Medicare. At least 80% of their medical bills would be paid by the government. Granted without a supplemental insurance plan they would still be responsible for 20% of the bill which in their case would still be a huge amount. That’s one thing that still confuses me in this discussion on Medicare for All, would it be like traditional Medicare where only 80% of a medical bill would be covered? This is never brought up in the discussion and I guess I haven’t dug deeply enough to get the answer. If that’s the case people don’t realize they would still be responsible for a good chunk of their medical bills. -
4 1/4 inches since 1 brings the storm total to 6.6 inches. So much for T - 2 inches. Really heavy stuff too.
-
This snowfall is occurring at basically midday at the end of March with the temperature at 33. It shows how heavy rates can overcome marginal conditions.
-
One inch in the last 20 minutes. This is becoming a pretty big overachiever.
-
-
Snowing heavily right now - huge flakes! Over 2 inches total.
-
Too bad this storm wasn’t back in January.
-
Woke up to a bit of a surprise this morning. 1.3 inches of snow fell overnight and it’s still snowing. The street in front of my house has a slushy accumulation. At least for a few hours it looks like winter again.
-
This is just starting. Who knows how many people have come in contact with someone with the virus. Look at the guy who died in New York City, he walked through Grand Central station before he knew he was infected. How many people might have contracted the virus from him?

There were several large flocks of Canada geese flying north today along with robin and red winged blackbird sightings definitely indicate the changing seasons.
-
I think your house may be just south of where the band has set up so your effect on it maybe mitigated!
-
Can you delay your trip for about 12 hours?
-
It is really coming down right now, probably close to the hardest it’s snowed all winter. Unfortunately the band is not solid and snow will come down at varying rates of intensity.
-
What could be the last hurrah of this event a new band has formed over me. Coming down pretty good right now.
-
Looks like it’s changing over on the Elmwood Ave camera in Buffalo.
