  1. What direction tonight? Channel 9 was talking about the band moving south tonight but it will probably be transient.
  2. It’s actually sinking south a bit over the lake. We’ll see if there’s any implication for my area.
  3. The Central Square school district covers a huge amount of real estate from Hastings to the north to Brewerton to the south. Believe me we didn’t get enough snow here to close schools. I doubt they even got enough up north especially with a LE ratio of 32.5:1.
  4. I just posted my measurement. It includes 0.7 yesterday morning and 1.9 overnight.
  5. Just under 2 inches here overnight. That’s about a third of what I was hoping for. We got the scraps from the southern end of the band as it spread out over land. It looks like the band is set up over central Oswego County and we may get a few flurries from it during the day.
  6. You’ll be able to clear 6 inches with a leaf blower.
  7. Some very light returns working in from the north.
  8. So they can adjust their forecasts to take into account your legendary precipitation force field.
  9. Have you notified the forecasters down there?
  10. I’m just interested in seeing what’s going to happen tonight. Will the band make it this far south? I’ve gotten about 2 inches this morning, another 6 tonight would be great. One day at a time.
  11. From Meteorologist Peter Hall on CNY Central.
  12. Did you read Syrmax and my posts? We both measured snow at over 30:1 ratio this morning. That’s lake effect territory.
  13. I measured at 8:15 and my measurements matched yours almost exactly. I had 1.4 inches on 0.04 liquid. That is 35:1, very lake effectesque. Snow has let up to almost nothing right now, hopefully we’ll get another burst before the synoptic snow ends.
  14. Jim Teske on channel 9 brings the axis of the lake effect into southern Oswego County tomorrow night.
  15. I think we all got 12-18 inches. Parts of eastern NY had 2 feet. Very cold temperatures too.
  16. I got briefly into the southern edge of the band while it was disorganized last night. Measured 0.2 this morning in other words a super dusting, lol. Drove down 81 this morning and less than 2 miles south the road was dry so I assume that was the cutoff for any snow.
  17. Flakes in the air here. It’s falling at a rate of a dusting every 6 hours.
  18. There’s heavier returns showing up just to my south. It will be interesting to see if they result in some visible snowflakes.
  19. A wet snow is falling in Times Square on Earthcam, there could be some rain mixed in.
  20. And once again BGM is ignoring northern Onondaga County.
  21. I got my first dose of the Pfizer Covid vaccine yesterday afternoon. So far I’ve had absolutely no side effects in fact my arm was more sore after the flu shot. I’m not ready to let my guard down but I feel better that this is a first step back to normalcy.
