Tornado Warning for Onondaga County.

The dew point has dropped into the mid 50s this morning, a nice break from the soupy air mass we’ve been in the last couple days. The real break comes next week as a trough gets carved out over the eastern US. Temperatures could almost feel fall like especially after the 90s we just experienced.

Light rain here. The temperature was in the low 90s when the rain started it has now dropped to 79.

The rain has just about stopped. I just measured 0.62 inch in about 15 minutes, that’s a pretty good downpour. We need rain since we’ve had next to nothing for the last 2 weeks.

I’m in the middle of that line of thundershowers right now. Fortunately for my dog there is not a lot of lightning in it. Rain is coming down heavily. I’ll get a measurement when it stops.

Sizzlecuse came through today with a record high of 92. I hope this isn’t a preview of this summer.

The big difference is that it’s already 36 degrees and the snow is starting to melt. It will be gone by the end of the day, maybe sooner if the sun comes out.

I measured just under an inch and a half overnight. Add in the 0.3 that fell and melted yesterday my total is 1.7 inches. There’s still bands coming off the lake so I might squeeze out a couple tenths more.

I think the snow year ends on June 30 so anything that falls in July won’t count for this year.

This event worked out just like I thought it would. A little snow when I woke up around 7:30 which melted before we got another little burst of slush around 10:30 - 11which melted within a half hour after it stopped. I can’t wait for the warmup next week, I flipped the switch on winter a month ago.
