  2. My backyard is like a swamp tonight. Tomorrow should be drier, I need to dry things out.

  4. Had a 5 minute downpour come through about a half an hour ago. Now another storm popped up just south of here. Hearing rumbles of thunder now.
  5. NWS is reporting possible rotation in that storm.

  7. This won’t be popular here but I almost hope your winter forecast verifies. They desperately need rain out west. Reservoirs are drying up and it’s going to be a horrendous fire season. If they can make a dent in their rainfall deficit I’ll sacrifice some snow in New York.
  8. With the ground being as wet as it is you would think the effects of solar heating would be somewhat muted. I think as long as the heat dome is entrenched in the west we will be in a damp pattern here in the east. Too bad we can’t send some of this moisture out where it is needed.
  9. I’ve only received 0.44 inch since I emptied the rain gauge at 8 AM. You always seem to get significantly more than I do. Of course I was on the northern edge of the last 2 storms that went through.
  10. I’ll check my rain gauge when the rain lets up.
  11. Going to get hit with the northern edge of this storm.
  12. The worst of last night’s storms were just north of me. I ended up with 0.18 inch of rain.
  13. It was the 12th day of 90+ in Syracuse this year.
  14. Just measured 0.44 inches of rain from the storm. All in all pretty weak sauce for this area, no hail and little wind.
  15. Usually channel 3 has a crawl on the screen with every warning within 150 miles of Syracuse and today there is nothing. Maybe they all took the day off.
  16. It looks like the worst is between Clay and Cicero, just south of me thank goodness. Edit: It almost looks like a hook echo near Mattydale.
  17. Started here a couple of minutes ago. No hail yet just some moderate to heavy rain. Just had a lightning bolt het very close.
  18. Showers popping up which could hold temperatures down. Looks like a pretty good one near you, Wolfie.
  19. We should start a petition to rename Syracuse to Sizzlercuse. Instead of being known for 10 feet of snow a year it can be known as Phoenix of the northeast. BTW, today is the 10th day with a maximum temperature of 90 or greater.
  20. 92 at KSYR at noon, that’s 5 degrees warmer than yesterday.
  21. My thermometer is reading 96 already. Do we have a shot at upper 90s at the airport? It probably depends on the extent of showers this afternoon.
