  1. Fine grain snow starting to stick to some surfaces. Temperature is down to 31 here.
  2. Sizzlecuse’s temperature actually went up last hour, surprise, surprise! I’m at 36 right now and the precipitation is very light.
  3. I’m not sure what expectations are for this. Channel 9 has been downplaying this event right along forecasting 1-3 inches total on the lake plain. I still have to get outdoor decorations up so I really don’t want to get buried yet.

  5. Keep this up and you’re going to ruin your reputation! 2.7 inches here. The band sagged south around 10 PM and we got next to nothing overnight. Looking at reports on Meteorologist Peter Hall’s Facebook page it appears the heaviest snow fell from Baldwinsville to Solvay.
  6. Finally back in some snow but the band is collapsing south right along I81. At the same time it is building back in western Oswego county. I’m not expecting much but I only need a quarter for an inch to reach 3 inches. The temperature has dropped all evening currently sitting at 28 degrees.
  7. About 2 3/4 inches here so far. New activity offshore of Oswego, it will be interesting to see how far west it will moves.
  8. Not a solid band but it’s coming down pretty good in the yellow returns.
  9. Not sure what you’re talking about. I’ve had a pretty healthy band over me for the last half hour. Closing in on an inch already.
  10. Latest metar from the Oswego County airport in Fulton is reporting light snow with 1 mile visibility. But in the remarks it states that visibility is variable from 1/2 to 5 miles. It’s possible that in one of those heavier squalls the temperature could fall to 32. 11. Looks like they both have generally the same idea. The NWS is a bit further south with the placement of the maxima which is good for you. Either way is about the same for me. With no real accumulation so far this year I would be satisfied with 3-4 inches out of this.
  12. Getting a nice period of snow here as the band sags south.
  13. On November 3, Carol tweeted the first 3 inches of the year and said only 422 more to break the record. From that I assume her record snowfall is 424 inches.
  14. Another band is forming just south of you so you might get into the action yet.
  15. Huge parachutes falling here this morning, some are more than 1 inch in diameter. Ground is covered for the first time this season. 33 degrees at 7:30.
  16. Finally getting the first mangles flakes of the season mixing in here.
  17. Congrats to the western New York crew. You’re around 32 with accumulating snow while here in Sizzlecuse we’re in the mid to upper 40s with rain.
  18. I can’t help but feel this is getting to be our new norm.
  19. This is channel 9’s winter outlook for Syracuse https://www.localsyr.com/winter-outlook-2021/storm-team-2021-22-winter-outlook/ Bottom line is above average temperatures and near normal snowfall which is 127 inches.
  20. I like the way the 120 inch contour curves north around Matt then comes back south but manages to stay about 2 miles north of me.
  21. I think tomatoes need strong insolation to ripen. I have a couple of cherry tomato plants on my deck that did really well this summer. Starting in September the leaves started shriveling and I don’t think any tomatoes have ripened in a month. It’s funny but my little terrier goes out and picks the low tomatoes and plays with them like they were balls. We’re going to pull plants in the next couple of days.
