12Z GFS shows several opportunities for snow between Christmas and New Years.

Finally down to 33 here and most surfaces are now coated. Roads are just wet. Even though the sun angle is at it’s lowest it’s still not the best time of the day for this snowfall.

It’s snowing steadily here but 40 minutes in there’s very little accumulation. The temperature finally fell back to 34. Flakes are small and wet.

With the cold front past KBUF the low for the day will be set right before midnight. It is already down to 52 as of 9 PM.

Channel 3’s snow forecast. Channel 9 is slightly more conservative bringing the heavier snow up into Oswego County and mixing into the Syracuse area.

Still “only” 45 here and I’m only 10 miles from the airport.

The record high for tomorrow in Syracuse is only 55. That will be broken easily.

I don’t understand if you’re building a house on a slab why you don’t incorporate a safe room in the house. The extra cost during construction couldn’t be that much and I’d much rather eliminate a family room or the likes for a room where I know my family will be safe.
