    The blocking will weaken, all the teleconnections go toward favorable values and the MJO progresses out of the phase it is in now. The ensembles reflect this nicely.

    The term heat lightning is commonly used to describe lightning from a distant thunderstorm just too far away to see the actual cloud-to-ground flash or to hear the accompanying thunder. Thanks for proving my point for me.

    People need to stop using the op beyond day 10, hell day 7 even. This isn't that hard, all you need to do is look at the op run to run to see how wildly inconsistent it is beyond day 10.

    Yeah I think we are going to be gradually warm after this next 5 days. Back half of the month is already starting to show some eastern ridging on longer range models. The light at the end of the tunnel is quickly approaching.

    Put in for my chasecation and found out that I am going to be off for the entire period I put in. May 21st-28th so lets hope the pattern breaks around then.

    With how quickly the El Nino is forming, it absolutely can impact this season, especially because the eastern 1.2 region of the ENSO are very warm while the 3-4 regions are still warming, you get a very high +TNI which is a positive impact for severe weather in the country.
