  1. I’m inside at work. Looks like 4”? Radar reloading north side of lake. I hope!
  2. NWS just upgraded to Warning for Monroe, Wayne and Ontario.
  3. Man! I was really starting to feel like I hung myself out there! Kuchie time king!
  4. If we can keep this moisture flow for 8 hours we’ll be golden. Hammer time
  5. I do. It’s interesting that the models now have best dynamics SE of our region. Anybody’s game. Heavy snow incoming. Vortex must be getting clobbered
  6. Let’s be honest. Nobody knows who is going to cash in tonight. But it’s snowing heavily in Irondequoit now. Evening commute gonna be bad. Is it 3” or 8”? It’s a guess at this point. Now cast time.
  7. Snowing pretty hard in Irondequoit. Visibility is crap. 1/4 mile. Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. West half of Ontario just exploded with greens. Lol. Can’t make this up
  9. I’m still not throwing in the towel but Jesus it looked good just a couple hours ago. With Watertown getting heavy snow (that’s our feed!). But if it turns out the way it looks like it might, it’ll be your win Delta. Well, not really a win but you know- a big feather in your cap. You never bought in. Boy was I sold. If the radar doesn’t fill in an hour- I’m giving up. I’ll never get these 4 days back
  10. That damn radar keeps drying up. Best moisture seems to be west of Rochester now. Most frustrating storm ever
  11. Here we go. Now they see what I’ve been yammering on about ALL week. Let’s GO! Second issue is from mid afternoon through early evening concerning a period of heavy snow for especially Monroe, Wayne and Ontario counties. This would include Rochester Metro and specifically the commute home this afternoon. All high-res models very insistent on backing swath of moderate to heavy snow over North Country /eastern Lake Ontario over this area during this time. Snowfall rates 1-2 inches per hour likely which will result in a very rough commute in the Rochester area. Going to start messaging this potential and will look into whether warning will be needed as seems at least possible some spots will see 7+ inches in less than 12 hours (warning critiera) and even if we fall just short of this, the impact to the commute could be significant enough to justify. So far the snow is having a hard time moving west, but radar trends do indicate it is starting to do this.
  12. Basically every model has upped qpf for south shore for the 12z run. I can’t recall a last second boost like this. I think it portends good things! Snowing moderately in Irondequoit. Better than it looks on radar!
  13. I’m telling you, it killed it in the 90’s-2015, I dont know
  14. Syracuse seems to be getting screwed. Down sloping? Snowing moderately now in Irondequoit.
  15. I just posted the 12z 3k and HRRR. Both have over .5” qpf for that region.
  16. Special Weather Statement out of Lewis, Oswego and Jefferson said 1-2”/he rates up there. That’s the feed for the south shore. It’s coming. Light snow has finally arrived in Irondequoit. I’m pretty convinced we have one hell of an afternoon ahead of us. Buckle up.
  17. NAM 3k is insistent. It’s coming. Waiting is tough
