Seems reasonable. I think Rochester does a little better than 8. I’m still hoping for 12 near the airport. But I’d be happy with 8. I think Geneva easily clears 4”. Good call on the NW trend.

RGEM is actually a touch cooler on the 18z run as compared to 12z.

NWS not buying the doom. P+C has me at 8-12 for tonight alone. I’m happy and surprised and SKEPTICAL. A jog SE of 25-50 miles would make all the difference. A jog at all to the NW and sleet starts to cut in. I’ll have to dust off the pressure falls maps.

NAM has some decent backside. Keeps Roc all snow. It’s going to snow very hard for a while!

My favorite storm was just a few days ago. We got 5.5” in about 6 hours of ‘unexpected’ lake effect fluff. It was so peaceful and pretty. I love those surprises! They can be more fun than sweating the models for days. Ive made peace with this being different than what we hoped. One thing that’s been decent is the cold seems to want to hang on. So while we deal with sleet and dryslot and lack of dynamics for enhancement- at least we won’t be melting north of the thruway. Save that for Thursday! Ha!

Yeah. BUF will be slashing soon. The best dynamics have literally moved 200 miles in 24 hours. These models are terrible. ICON looks to have won another coup.

I love your attitude. Most days a 6 inch snowstorm would be great! I let myself get trapped by the idea that if imby isn’t the sweet spot I lose. I’m gonna try and just enjoy the roll out. It’s an enormous storm and we are lucky to be on the (mostly) cold side! Let’s go! Good luck everyone!

You only get one mom. I’m like a television comedy stereotype- Middle aged gay man who is completely dedicated to his overbearing mom. It’s been a struggle watching her age as she is my best friend and I can see our years are growing shorter. Upside is that I can really kick her ass at jeopardy. But, yeah, her time is limited. I can’t imagine what it’s like to have cancer in addition to all of it. It’s no wonder that you’re under some stress. Almost all of us have, at various points, shared personal struggles with the group. We are surprisingly supportive for a bunch of assholes. And someone beats on Matt at least once a week (I think he’s a red head?). You’re just man enough to apologize for it.
