  1. Man, looks to be REALLY, really Spring like. I might be out of luck with my ski trip, March 12....ADK’s
  2. I’m still not impressed. Maybe a C. February was a B but every synoptic storm busted. Having pack was/ is fun. Yesterday was incredibly beauty around here. A+ day. If we were to get a big one in March I could see giving this season a B. A is reserved for above average snowfall with lots of storms.
  3. Honestly, your pretty well positioned to become the next Reed Timmer. If you get a lot of great footage next year, maybe you can get a contract to chase. Or a BJ from Cantore.
  4. Yeah. It was bound to happen. Hey! We’ve had a pretty good month. Snow is well above my knee at my folks house in Pittsford. It doesn’t get much deeper in these parts. I don’t think we had any storms last March. Typically, it’s Rochester’s snowiest month. Or am I imagining that? Lol
  5. Downsloped big time in Monroe. These snow packs melt faster than I expect. Just takes a few days of warmth and it’ll be gone. Looking like my ski trip for second weekend in March is in serious jeopardy. Lol. But honesty, they haven’t been able to predict a few hours out. 3 weeks is forever.
  6. Really nice pack in Irondequoit. We ended with nearly 10” on the lake effect. Probably more if I wasn’t too lazy to do a board. Much more than even 5 miles inland. 18” pack. By far the most we’ve had. Compaction yesterday (after the pic) decreased it to ~14”. .
  7. Getting tougher to get accums during daylight hours. Noticeable to me on pavement especially!
  8. I love it. BUF loves to talk about double jet structures and exit quadrants. I super appreciate you pointing it out, professor.
  9. The 6z models all came in much wetter, especially for those of you with ANY elevation. Gennessee valley still getting downsloped. 6”+ above 1000’
  10. Hahaha. Yeah, last couple years we’ve had cold, snowy springs. I don’t see that happening this year but ya never know. In typical fashion, March looks to have a lot of energy to discharge!
  11. Oops, yeah, I should clarify as I split my time these days. I was returning to Irondequoit. Rochester General Hospital only had a couple fresh. My house, about 5 ticks north, had 5” fresh.
  12. I was at work from 3-12 and when I returned home we’d had another 5”!! So about 8.5” from this one. Not bad at all! RGEM killed it. NAM was asleep.
  13. It’s interesting that we’ve now had two super performers this otherwise weak season. Different set ups but they share some similarities. Both drastically under forecast. Both occurred in areas with some orographic properties. I love events that just blow away the models. How fun!
  14. I was wrong about Monroe but really, really right about BUFWX!!! What was your final tally?
  15. You literally have said that a dozen times since January.
  16. I had a feeling the airport might struggle measuring this one. Probably measuring on the tarmac and everything was melting on black pavement. Lol. About 4” in Irondequoit and 5 in Pittsford (when I left at noon).
  17. Starting to lose the cellular look. Might be a fun evening!
