  1. Yeah. While it’s a little disappointing and I’m chomping at the bit, we are probably better off waiting until after Thanksgiving for a cold spell. Just goes to show you can’t ever trust the LR. EVER! Lol
  2. The old euro outputs were like gold. People be begging for that. My impression (probably wrong) is that Euro was actually better back then. Maybe it was all relative. Better than AVN. Lol
  3. If you’re moving to Lysander, I’d go about 10 miles north to Hannibal. They do well. Not sure about Lysander.
  4. I spend a lot of time in Brantingham. Just to your east. You get quite a bit more either side of the Lowville valley. Turin is an interesting town just west. It’s a blast driving around that region because of how much it varies. If Lowville has 18”, either side of it can have 3’. There are a couple roads that climb halfway up the Tug to your west, but not many- this is where I’d put a house. We will be delighted to have a poster from Lowville. You guys can get epic storms!!!! Don’t worry.
  5. After Sept 15, my toms always taste weird. Like pumpkin or cantaloupe. I can’t do it. Plus, they won’t really ripen.
  6. They’ve been driving you a little nuts lately. Lol. See if you can find their house. ‘Educate’ them.
  7. “Most heavy snow in Western and Northern New York is caused by lake effect. “- is this true? I feel like this isn’t the case at all for Rochester. Most of our heavy snow events are synoptic with some added LES. Headlines (that verify) are almost always synoptic. The quote may be true for Buffalo. It seems like the NWS bias is still there. Lol
  8. It’s just a riot to me how these flip-flop around. Wasn’t it just a week ago that we were all excited for a great November? Lol. Always interesting. A good reminder to never take these LR products too seriously.
  9. Honestly, that’s what Syracuse needs. A good, locked in period of cold with NW flow. Obviously, it’s been a few years. You’re due buddy!
  10. Our exciting start to November is looking less and less exciting. It was always a long shot. Might be better to have a good pattern materialize later anyhow. Happy Halloween
  11. Looks like some clearing tonight. Wondering if the Aurora will still be active?
  12. Big rain totals for Monroe County. Just a deluge. I’ve had to dump out my wheelbarrow twice in the last week. Looks like I’ll be doing it again tomorrow. I’d be surprised if we’re under 2”.
  13. I actually looked it up. I guess I should’ve known Marx (although that doesn’t look like most representations) but I don’t think many have heard of Engels. Anyway, hope it was fun.
  14. Pretty sweet set up! Just really, really hard to get anything but slush in the lower elevations at this point. It almost feels like wasted opportunities. Take this last one for example, that would’ve been a block buster for all of us. That kind of storm would’ve buried the thruway districts. Just crush along south Ontario shore. And yet the LP was OTS. Show me that in January. Lol
