F 60’s. 20’s!

There’s that little micro climate in E Penfield, SE Webster and W Walworth that always does well with these. I think it’s the tiny hills. The Christmas tree farms get slammed. only 1” in Irondequoit. Although probably had a foot these last few days so can’t complain!

It’s a beauty! I’ve always wanted to try swapping one out. I just used my new Ariens classic 24”, 9.5 HP. I’m thinking I could of used a little bit bigger tires and more HP, but it’ll do the trick. Not bad for 700.

Areas from SE Roc to Syracuse really busted pretty hard. There were signs but the hi res models consistently underestimated the NW push of warm air at the mid/upper levels. Lower levels stayed plenty cold (at least around here). 8” compact snow in Irondequoit. The lake added the last 2”. About what I hoped for but it was too stressful riding that taint line. Forgot about how much I hate sleet (or technically rim). On to the next. Overnight looks like a Penfield/ Walworth special. Good luck Tim!

Snowfall rate of about .75/ hour over the last 3. At 6” now. Could see hitting double digits with a little love from the lake. Gonna be a big gradient for this one. Definitely was a bit warmer aloft. Any thoughts on which model performed the best? EURO had the NW idea but didn’t pickup the warm nose or dryslot (or whatever we’re calling it).

I’ve seen the second half save a couple storms like this. Delta is right, you can stand on this stuff. Back in Irondequoit. Didn’t hit real snow until 2 miles from the lake shore. Roads are a disaster. Had to leave Pittsford once it changed to f’ing freezing rain. A cruel joke. 4.5” up here. Tried out the new snow blower on the compacted 3” in the driveway. Would’ve hurt to shovel even that tiny amount. Looking at 6:1 or similar. Anyone in Orleans or Niagara? OSU was right- no taint there as far as it looks.

Still with mix in SE Monroe. But very little falling. Visib above 5 miles. The NW suburbs a different story with 6” reported in Greece with S++

Still a mix of snow and graupel here in Pittsford. Probably head back to Irondequoit after dinner, as being on this side of the line will make me crazier than I already am and I know nobody needs that. Glad to hear other parts of Rochester are turning back!

a little dry with grapple mixing in SE Monroe county. Snowed pretty good on my drive through Irondequoit, Roc, Penfield, Fairport and East Rochester. Wouldn’t be surprised to see additional movement NW. This has always looked best (from my perspective) over the Niagara Frontier. Anyone SE of Roc (the pivot) is gonna struggle. Anyone NW is in the bullseye! Enjoy! Toronto doing well this time.

Yeah. Coming down good in Irondequoit (n side of Roc). Still a bit worried about the dreaded taint but there ain’t nothing to do about it so may as well enjoy. It sure looks like the start of a good one! Just picked up the new snow thrower! 1/2 mile visi 33f (30 away from lake). Enjoy everyone. May we all overachieve!

I’m gonna be sitting right on that hard cutoff at my folks house in Pittsford, SE Monroe county. I’m thinking I should can that idea and stay up in Irondequiit on the lake shore. I hate being on the cusp.

That gradient/ dryslot is gonna break someone’s heart. It’s a “one town over got a foot while I got 2 inches” kinda thing.

NAM 3k dropping the low to 1003 east of Binghamton. Quite a Little bit stronger than it was progged originally. Intensifying is always helpful.

NAM still further south. Nice. Enjoy. I hope Syracuse gets into the good snow.

HRRR with insane dry slot. Not much taint because it just turns it off. Not a great model.
