  1. I’ll never understand why you guys appreciate this about Trump. You should dig deep and evaluate why it brings you joy when he brings anguish to others. It’s the one thing I hate most about the movement. It’s sadism.
  2. It actually fits, to a T, every defender of Trump. The guys a con man, a liar, a phony. I can respect lots of divergent opinions (I’m even open to being influenced), but at this point, I can’t respect anyone who defends Trump. I just cant. Today he’s accusing the past President of treason....
  3. Raging against the 3.7 that went to Wuhan is a mistake and here’s why: you want government funded research scientists on the ground in the part of the world where (unfortunately) so many of our viruses come from. Trump, in his nationalist way (and anti anything Obama way) shut down lots of things having to do with pandemic research. We shouldn’t look at this as tribal warfare (I’m guilty too) we should take a real look at how we can avoid this in the future. it just boggles my mind that the 3.7 is being used as proof of something nefarious when it was, in fact, exactly what we need more of.
  4. Ugh. Right to 84?! Gross. I run best at 50-65. But I prefer snow.
  5. Timing is bad on this one but another astounding situation
  6. Getting some great LES action here on the south shore. These squalls are really impressive for May 9! Middle of the day no less.
  7. Agreed. Northern finger lakes region is killer for synoptic. We probably get more synoptic snow storms than almost anywhere else. BUF is just a tic too far west and SE NY mixes. ADK’s are great but miss the moisture sometimes. ROC and SYR get the push on the Miller B’s and also are far enough SE to get in on the A’s west flank. Canadian came in pretty far NW. keeps it interesting.
  8. Saturday morning gonna be the time to watch for a pasty inch or two. That’s about it. Crazy late though!
  9. Lotsa snow showing on the models. Do we buy it? Maybe in the hills. Next to impossible to get it in the valleys at this point. Who knows....
  10. I still have been unable to get tested. Despite that I’m a frontline healthcare worker and nearly half of my coworkers are out on quarantine. So if someone says that tests are available- send them to me! Syrmax, I love your info and you seem like a smart guy but the contrarian attitude is a drag. You can say that there are not enough tests AND scrutinize the test’s reliability. These two things aren’t mutually exclusive. I agree that the Trump complaints seem reflexive at times; but this guys like a cancer, If he states A, pretty good chance B is the better alternative.
  11. Not even getting into last nights euro but look at this! I mean come on! What is this? Like the tenth storm that would’ve been a beauty two months ago...
  12. The NAM 3k killed it with this storm. The days of hoping and praying are over. If the models say no snow- u may as well pack it in. The only area they truly struggle with (inside of 48 hours) is the south shore lake effect. Not sure if that’s resolvable.
  13. What makes you say it’s almost over? Still tons of moisture over WNY. HRR still bullish
  14. This would of been a beaut just one month ago. This whole month would’ve rocked
  15. Euro still holding to idea of a significant spring snowstorm over the finger lakes
  16. The numbers are remarkably stable. 30,000 new cases per day. And the European cases are stubborn too. And they all seem to come from the regions wherein the virus obtained its original foothold: NYC, Spain, Italy. it’s like once the cat is outta the bag it’s hard to contain. IDK. I’m not seeing any signs of hope. Looks like it’s gonna be a slow burn. We’ll eventually get to the most dire predictions in my honest opinion.
  17. Looks like the Catskills get smacked. It’s tough to pinpoint these spring storms. This is it though. It’s depressing saying goodbye after that winter. Next year has GOT to be better!
