  1. I wish public officials were more cognizant of the example they set. At the very minimum, “lapses in judgement” give folks the ammunition to act like morons and dismiss the scientific reality that Corona is deadly and highly communicative. Citizens look to their leaders as examples. It is a form of hypocrisy to insist that church’s’ are shut while smiling for a group pic, but it doesn’t change the truth. 200,000 deaths in 6 months with extensive quarantining and precautions. Imagine the toll if we had allowed these dismissive types (Steve) to have their way.
  2. Laura hits 3! Looks like a compact powerhouse! Currently forecast to hit a sparsely populated portion of gulf coast. State line between Texas and LA.
  3. Except when the guy up the street is getting twice that- it might make me a bit crazy. Wolfie routinely stays up until 1 am, during storms, to catch the EURO. He’s as crazy as they get for snow. Lol
  4. Apparently there’s a derecho happening. I really don’t believe in them but all the big mets say it’s a real one.
  5. I’d go crazy in Pulaski. They suffer a similar thing that Oswego City does- the heavy stuff jumps right over them. It would be great to live on the Lake though. Where would you really like to live? Seems like your last locale was pretty good for snow. Fulton and Mexico used to get slammed but that seems to have move North. IDK. Im still focused on trying to get a place on Brantingham Lake but the prices have jumped. I had a bead on a nice little cottage for 225 but it wasn’t winterized AT ALL. Would cost me 50k just to do that. It sold and I’d bet it’s worth 50 k more than it was just a few months ago. Might just be seasonal adjustments. Who wants to buy a 3 season home in the off season, right?? Anyway, super psyched you’re sticking around.
  6. Update on the grounding mat. I was truly skeptical but I’m becoming a believer. My chronic pain has been almost non existent since I started using it. Plus, my lower back has been great. All that being said, I am susceptible to the placebo effect and it could be that. Who knows. Thanks for hooking me up Wolfie!
  7. Rightfully so. Josh Nichols (local forecaster) posted a tweet talking about people needing to be prepared. He has since deleted it. So add me to the confused.
  8. You guys really don’t follow this stuff either? Local Mets starting to get worried about rainfall in Rochester- I have no idea.
  9. The part where he talks about having lived an entirely different life while in a coma sent shivers down my spine. Crazy.
  10. My grounding system arrived and I am currently being Earthed. I’ll be honest, this thing has all the hallmarks of a scam. It arrived with a book extolling all the benefits of earthing. It’s long on attestation and short on scientific measurement. It looks like every other scam out there- the alkalinity thing, etc. Im gonna give it a fair chance. The packaging and product were pretty high end. I was impressed by that portion of it. Hey, if it doesn’t work, I’m only out a few bucks. Not like this is some grand investment.
  11. Water is a good ground (I think). This might explain why people (me) feel better when they are in or near water. Just a thought.
  12. Awesome. I want to try. Which one do you suggest? My only issue might be having to run an actual ground to one of my outlets. House was built in 1950 and has 110 with just a hot and a common to most of the outlets. I’ve upgraded in many parts of the house but not in the bedroom yet. Perhaps it’s time? Or I could run an extension cord.
  13. Hey Wolfie. How is that grounding system working? Any improvement? I have an inflammatory condition and I was real curious about your research/ investment.
  14. I’m into holistic treatments. And cannabis. Lol. I’ve got a massage scheduled for this afternoon- get one every few weeks. I was taking lots of supplements and antioxidants until recently when I decided to stop. Ever since curtailing, I’ve actually felt better. Who knows. Im up for anything. Even though I’m scientifically biased, working in medicine has opened my eyes to the truth that we know very little about the human body. Many of our ‘cures’ were discovered accidentally or through trial and error. Rare is the treatment that was designed via understanding of physiology and chemistry.
  15. Keep us informed on this grounding stuff. I’m very skeptical but willing to admit that I know very little. Hope it works. I’m riddled with inflammation. Joint problems, low back pain, chronic pancreatitis, anxiety, on and on it goes. So if anything works, I’m willing to try. I’m currently on NAC and a few other antioxidants. Ive been walking around in bare feet because of this. Lol
  16. Wolfie!!! WTF! I never check in over the summer and I just thought I’d see what you nerds were talking about and saw your news. I’m shocked. Dude! You pretty much keep this board alive! All your posts will be missed. As will the reports from Altmar or wherever lol. So you hanging it all up huh? Gonna go get those teeth fixed and everything. Bet you lived in that house for free. God bless ya bro. I’ll miss ya!
  17. The writing is on the wall. The public will no longer tolerate complete shut downs. We shall see where this takes us. I’m so sick of this. I feel horrible for my elderly mom who basically lived to play bridge- her entire social circle was it. At this rate, she’ll never play again. People suggest playing online but it really isn’t anywhere near the same thing. She plays to be near people- to chat and laugh. She sees her life as pretty much over.
  18. When you said that he’s “pretty good at ruffling feathers”, I thought it was a compliment in a way. I apologize if I misinterpreted your meaning. There are lots of supporters who find enjoyable sport out of “owning the libs”, you disapprove?
