  1. Don’t judge based on the last two years. No matter what the Rochester airport says, the last 2 years have been terrible. We usually get some big snow storms in Rochester with long stretches of snow cover. We are in a bad stretch or seeing the results of GW
  2. Next 15 days on the GFS. Not even a dusting. Disgusting. Lol
  3. Looks like a lot of New England got screwed by diurnal effects and marginal temps. Turns out snow has a heck of a time accumulating at 35f. Haha. Share the pain.
  4. Nice covering in Irondequoit. The gods must’ve heard our crying
  5. That’s the problem. People say it’s too soon to get pessimistic but we’re looking at 1/4-1/3rd of the season in the bag (or forecasted out) and nothing to show for it. Toronto and CLE once again looking to be better placed to cash in. Ugh
  6. Dude! You go hard. I was in Hood two years ago. Beautiful part of the country. I don’t do the level hiking you do but I did do a couple 1000-2500ft elevation changes- short day hikes.
  7. I’ve always been fascinated by some of the mountains in the SE. Taos, Angel Fire, Wolf Creek Pass, Snow Bowl near Flag. All cool places. Such extremes. Texas would be tough. Not much in the way of mountains. I guess they must get it on those high plains but I bet it just blows away or mixes with the sand.
  8. Every new run of the NAM, since early yesterday, has increased totals, right upto the 12 z and ITS ALREADY SNOWING! That never happens. Just a crush job. Big time
  9. Worcester is where I’d want to be! Or on a mountain in SE NH.
  10. I went to school at Oswego hoping to see huge storms. I was disappointed. Their snowpack was less than my hometown of Rochester. They can get in on epic bands though.
  11. Oswego city doesn’t get a ton of snow. Nor does the SUNY Oswego campus. To get into the bigger snow you need to move inland by several miles to Hannibal, Fulton or Mexico. Not nearly the stuff they see on the hill but they are semi populated.
  12. I wonder what passes for culture up on the hill? Seems like a place in need of an artist enclave or hippie commune. They’d love that
  13. Nothing cooking. It’s an active pattern. Hopefully something pops up. Tough to see a 979 off the coast of Maine- so close.
  14. It’s December 3rd and we just had our first inch. Nothing looking great on the short, mid or long term. IDK....
  15. Yeah. This winter just has that feel already. Lots of time but wow; disappointments racking up already. Some said we were due one more dud.
  16. Ugh. Did these models look good just 48 hours ago or was that my imagination? Lol
  17. I thought Neg NAO would retrograde EC LPs? I can’t keep that sh.t straight.
