    Suddenly point and click is suggesting1-2” over night. No idea what they’re seeing but I ain’t gonna argue. I do think the changeover is early and east.....37f where I am. Critical thicknesses a long ways away tho

    I’d be sweating it if I lived in BUF and wanted a white Christmas. The front has slowed to a crawl just west of them. At least by precip type depiction on radar. Happy to hear there’s mixing in IAG.

    Thing is that the front really stalls at a certain point. Ya gotta hope it makes it through before that slug swings north. BUF is fine. Wondering about those eastern suburbs. Who knows? East or west by 40 miles is possible still. I’m kinda glad Rochester is completely out now- you might not of noticed but I get a little obsessive compulsive and that don’t play well with family time.

    Typically the golden track for big snow in Rochester. Thermals are late. I’ve learned to never trust GEFS esp with thermals. They think sleet is snow etc. Who knows. Maybe rates turn it over sooner than expected and we get an inch. BUF looks pretty good. Especially the west side. Lol

    The sickness was strong in me as a kid. I’d watch all night. Waiting for the radar. Or the crawl when NWS upgraded to a warning or watch. I nearly fell down the stairs when in 1993 the whole screen went red and announced a Blizzard Warning for all of NY.

    12z UKMET keeps accumulating snow west of even BUF. The 6z EURO was very west but kept BUF in the white for Christmas Eve! GFS has taken another giant steaming dump on the bed. It simply cannot be allowed in the house anymore. It’s been awful these last two.

    We hold out hope. It’s kind of now cast at this point. These things often track a bit east at the last second (seems only when it hurts us). It’s close. But unlikely. Look at it this way, it would be a true Christmas miracle!

    IDK. When we are 24 hrs out and the RGEM shows accumulating snow end at BUF while the 12K takes it to I81? I wouldn’t give them high marks. Yeah, the overall idea has been there. Like you always said, it’s a rough one to pin down. Lots of moving parts. Kinda fun actually.

    0z ought to give us a better idea. I’m super reluctant to buy the GFS. But damn if it aint consistent and it has the 12k NAM to back it up. Everything else is in the other camp. BUF is pretty much a lock. As is Toronto.
