Upstate NY Banter and General Discussion..

Great points! Unbeknownst to me, my glucose monitor will accept keto strips. I have ordered them and urine strips. I’ve been getting plenty of calories as my weight hasn’t shifted. 166. Started at 169. I’ve been eating an entire rib roast. So that might explain lack of weight loss. Lol -

6z GFS really hammers the traditional belts. Synoptically it’s tricky. The lake plains don’t do well. Roc and SYR with abot 6” for the rest of January. But 50” on the tug. -

I just don’t buy the long term forecasts. Not in this winter (or last). The Pacific will can it. La Niña isn’t favorable for a western ridge either. Check please. -

Hate to be this guy. But 90% of the run looks like this. I’m promising myself not to bite this time. Hope it’s wrong. Binghamton proved you only need one! -

There is zero cold air. Roll through the GFS using the 2M anomaly. We are red throughout. I have no idea what you people are talking about. -

Benzos screwed me too. I’ve been off for 12 months and still have tinnitus due to them. I was in hardcore withdrawal for 5 days- like nothing I’d ever felt before. It’s so odd that doctors don’t understand the harm they cause. The gaba system is best left alone. -

Last thing before back to weather. I do take edibles for my anxiety issues. Extremely low doses. Like 1/10th of what a stoner would consume. I try and seek balance. I know it’s one of those holistic terms people toss about but after 20 years of trialing all sorts of synthetics, I’ve come to realize I was working against my mind and even damaging it. The human body is the best doctor. Let it do it’s thing. If you take benzos, I suggest doing it for a very limited time. As Delta said, some of us just have fragile brains. We need to be extra careful. You will be ok! Give it time. Be gentle to yourself. -

If the any of the meds they gave you are benzos, please, PLEASE don’t take them until you do a ton of research. If, as I suspect, your nervous/ gaba system has gone haywire, benzos could really make it worse. Text me if you want more- 585-944-6766. I don’t know what you have going on but it doesn’t sound like simple anxiety attacks to me. But then again, anxiety presents in a 100 different ways. I have a Kardia heart monitor. For $20 A board certified cardiologist will review your most recent scan. It’s simple, just place two fingers on it and wait for 30 seconds. It’ll identify A-fib right away, electronically. I think you were on the right path when you immediately suspected the caffeine as being the culprit. I hope time sorts all of this out. Obviously, disclaimer, disclaimer, disclaimer: I’m not a doctor. Not even a nurse! I feel a little weird giving you all this advice as I don’t usually like to do that. But I have some experience with the way you’re feeling. -

Right!?!? We’ve got so many great personalities up in here. Wolfie is like an adult in the room. Syrmax is the witty intellectual. King is the wise guy. Delta and BUF are the scientists. Freak is the angsty teen who knows as much as any met. Tim and Vort the dreamy eyed optimists. Ayuud only cares about LES. And I can think of at least 5 smart asses (me and you and Think included). Who am I missing? Easy going CNY! Who else?the easterners. The lurkers (96!). Actual meteorologist. Lol. No offense if I missed you, my brain is slow. -

The market has done just ok under Trump. I’m sure you know that historically the markets do much better with democrats. -

I’ve eaten a balanced diet always. I’m not overweight (165). Keto is actually a treatment for a rare muscle condition I have believe it or not. It’s called Glycogen Deficiency 5. My muscles can’t utilize sugar the way most peoples can but they can utilize fats. Unfortunately, if carbs are available, muscles will use them first, followed by fats. So Keto removes the carb availability allowing my muscles to act normal which is awesome! I kinda hate it (the diet) so far but I want to at least try it for a while. It’s one of those catch 22s. Lol. It might not be worth the improvement in muscle function but I won’t know until I know. -

I’ve just started the Keto diet. I’m on day 3. Suppose I’m already in ketosis. Had some monster leg cramps last night. Feel a little out of it and disoriented. Any tips? Anyone done it? My plan is to do 6 days keto followed by a cheat day and then repeat. -

Guys, just be guarded when getting excited for the long term stuff. We’ve been through this a dozen times in the last two years. These products are pretty worthless in my estimation. Fun to watch tho! -

The US was/is in Wuhan because that is where so many of the worlds flus start. We are there to identify and start the arduous process of creating the next vaccine. These conspiratorial suggestions just don’t add up bro. I mean first of all, what’s their motivation? And why do it in Wuhan? Why not a strip mall in Chevy Chase Maryland? I never realized you were a redhat. I knew Tim was. And who tf is warning me that I can’t discuss politics on the banter page? Isn’t that what this is for? -

Too soon for pessimism but if the clippers all go north of the lakes as depicted on GFS, Rochester to Syracuse (but definitely Rochester) would be completely skunked. Given our luck this winter, I expect this will be the pattern! Lol -

They secured it last night at about 10 pm. No idea why the networks won’t call it. Neither will even trip the recount as both will be above .5%. -

Wasnt Fauci one of the guys who helped set us up in Wuhan to help discover and track new viruses? You’re a great writer by the way. I like the way your mind works. I think you’re a might bit more intellectually curious and honest than I am. I easily fall into the politically driven tropes that are designed to divide us. On the other hand, I have a little suspicion of trying to make things too complicated or conspiratorial. Occams razor and all that. Fauci might of been made the hero in response to Trumps bafoonish antics out of necessity. We needed a western scientist type with a warm smile to help us feel safe- like there were things we could act upon. It is a shame we might never have an origin story. And you’re right, not blaming Chinese research might be a reflexive (and wrong) response to Trumps ridiculous ‘China Virus’ nonsense. -

It sounds like something sent your nervous/ GABA systems into overdrive. A lot like when I went through withdrawals from benzo’s. If it’s anything like that, the good news is that our neuro networks heal. Could be quick or take a bit. Im hoping your doctors figure it out and point you in the direction of getting better. In the meantime, stay calm and be kind to yourself. Thinking of you.
