  1. These tracks can be good for a quick thump but we gotta watch temp profiles in the western zones. Syracuse NE usually is fine.
  2. Stuck at .5” in Irondequoit. Grass is totally visible. Congrats to the winners! BUF wx, you did well. Good call headed to Tug on Friday
  3. They were right in a tiny location. The ridge. They made it seem like BUF and N Erie was gonna get hit. I’ll bet you can see grass there. And for the rest of it? Rochester with 6”? We got .5” It was a pipe dream. A crack pipe dream. You can’t tell me you think it was a reasonable forecast.
  4. I’m completely befuddled by the 6” over Rochester. I’ll admit that KBUF has a good record (way better than me) but I just can’t understand it. I also have trouble understanding their position on N Erie. The map reflects a widespread event but everything, but maybe the Canadian, shows anemic local stuff- except on the ridge. And even the Canadian product wouldn’t give the city of Roc 6”. 6” would be roughly 50% of our seasonal total to put it in perspective. Are they trolling us? Lol
  5. I forget what a deep winter LES map looks like. It keeps confusing me- I’m like, “whaaat?” Not used to seeing this distribution. Mostly follows climo snowfall
  6. Why they’d paint Monroe with 4-6, I’ll never know. No model shows that.
  7. Kinda weird that BUF is big on Lake Erie lake effect and real soft on Ontario lake effect. Models show it too. What’s going on that the Tug won’t cash in?
  8. It looks nice at least. I may not of fully valued the ice free sidewalks though. Is .25” enough to trade for super icy everything? Lol.
  9. Where is the other Carol? I’d be pissed if I was Redfield Carol. Lol
  10. Yep. A bit of drizzle here. . I don’t see that changing this week. Thankfully, headed to the Tug region on Friday, so I can tolerate it.
  11. PerintonMan guy. I hear your frustration with everyone cheering W-SW wind flow. It can get annoying but that is the REAL LES. With a northwest-northeast wind, Rochester can get dinks and dabs. We really don’t get LES storms. Maybe once in blue moon we’ll pickup a foot. But that can happen in Buffalo in 3 hours. It’d take us 36.
  12. PerintonMan is not a great spot. Penfield is better. But anywhere near Rochester is gonna be lacking when it comes to LES. As you know. We survive off synoptic and enhancement. BTW. This has probably been the worst winter of my life. Almost 50 of them for comparison.
  13. This was never Bufs storm. The disco was misleading only if you really wanted snow. Plus, they were wrong with their maps. Disappointments all around. I really thought Wolfe would do well. Snow Ridge is claiming 15” (they probably got about half) and Whiteface is saying 10”. It’s just a shit winter.
