  1. As an indication of how cloudy it has been, we are just barely in the surplus on our solar for July.
  2. Just picked up a quick 0.31 inches of rain. The last couple of summers, that would have been significant - this summer, not so much.
  3. Thundering and pouring once more. Everything needed a good drink as it has been about 8 hours since the last rain.
  4. Pretty wild for a couple of minutes here. No visible damage but it would not have taken much more to start snapping stuff. Power flicking.
  5. It is pouring out here in Litchfield county. We had missed out on the heavier rains of the last couple of days.
  6. James will be missed - his enthusiasm was off the chart! He certainly loved his Ocean Effect Snow. I never met him, but it did not take long to learn that he was an eternal optimist whenever there was a storm in the western half of the Atlantic.
  7. Got Moderna #2 yesterday am. Wasn't too bad when I went to bed - actually felt like the side effects may have peaked and were decreasing and I was cautiously optimistic.... I was sadly disappointed at 1:30 this morning - ugly couple of hours and have been slowly improving since. Wasn't really able to function when I got out of bed. I'm still a little foggy and sore from the aches and chills from last night. I'm guessing it will be a another day or two until I'm back to 100%, but I'm excited to have it over with! My wife got both shots and not a single side effect.
  8. As quick as it came - it is gone. Now I get to find the arc fault circuits in the house that tripped in the power blink. Kind of becomes a bit of a sport to find them.
  9. Interesting minute or two when this thing hit - wind 40+ mph on weather station and some very small hail hitting the windows.
  10. Wind last night vs shingle ridge cap shingles and the winner was....the wind. Having to replace part of the ridge cap FTL.
  11. I'm calling it at 4.25 inches here in New Hartford. Just flipped to rain @The 4 Seasons
  12. Let up slightly - but still on the 2 inch/hr pace using the snow stake.
  13. On top of a hill in New Hartford. Right about 1,000 feet. Grew up in Norfolk before moving to Ellington then to New Hartford.
  14. I love the unexpected! I don't know how long this will continue, but it will add up quickly. Down to 31/28. Have gotten an inch over the last 25 minutes.
  15. It is coming down. Visibility down to about an eighth of a mile.
  16. Definitely between moderate/heavy snow here. Visibility has dropped significantly. Loving it. Just wish I did not have dentist appointment this afternoon. Down to 32.0/27.7.
  17. Gotta love the magic of wet-bulbing. No matter how many times I see it happen - it still amazes me. Now riding just above freezing 32.4 with DP of 27.3.
  18. Snow is picking up quite nicely here. Temp has dropped 0.5 in the last 15 minutes.
  19. A few flakes in the air here. 34/26. I'm at 1000 feet here in Litchfield County - so maybe, just maybe we can rip off a couple of inches.
  20. Over the past couple of years, being in Litchfield County has not been all that helpful, which is contrary to long-term history. While not a big win, if this played out along the lines of the Euro, I would be OK with it.
  21. We seem to be in one of those streaks where a dingo farts in Australia and if his ass is pointed north things trend too far north and if his ass is pointed south, suppression depression.
