Clouded back up over here due to that straggling line coming into Brunswick ahead of the line out over 81.

Listening to WYPR and they just broke in with an Emergency Management alert and playing the weather radio information.

Just got back from Lovettesville. Pony had a vet appt this morning. Right at the end of the appt it started pouring. Drove home in a downpour most of the way. Now home and the sun is starting to break through. Temp is 66 and sitting at .98" so far for the day.

Ok just heard from my sister. They were under the warning from the storm in SE Atlanta this morning. They live in Avondale Estates. She said the sirens went off at 2:50 am and they all got into their safe place. The storm weakened and the warning was allowed to drop at 3 am. We were actually supposed to be there this weekend visiting. But because of travel restrictions were not. I am just glad they are safe. Now just onto our dealing with this system.

Thank you! Not sure why I was not finding Thank you! Not sure why I was not finding this. I did hear back from her finally via text to just say they are ok and will talk later. I imagine they were up very early this morning. They actually yesterday set up their basement so they could just sleep down there to be pro active.

I am heading over to Lovettsville this morning. The vet is coming out for Spring shots and care visits. Appt is at 9:30. Looking at radar this line may have pushed through by then. But am I reading this correctly that the severe potential will be behind the line with developing storms?

Woke to hear of a tornado on the SE side of Atlanta. My sister lives just East if Decatur. I have texted her but no reply. Am guessing she is sleeping after the crazy night. Does anyone know the location of this particular tornado. Having a hard time checking online about it.

And to make you all drool tonight. I made a Peruvian chicken. Husband made some Pisco Sours.

Had to get some hand sanitizer today. Oh and this bottle of Vodka from McClintock Distillery. Love that our local distilleries are there helping for the cause.

Its ok. Had to celebrate it twice before under circumstances. One being on 13 weeks of bed rest and not allowed to go out, the other had just had Breast Cancer surgery and again could not do anything. But we both are not huge sentimental people so as long as we are together that is all we need.

Today is 21 years married to the man who when he proposed said he would be there to push me in a wheelchair later in life. He has already fulfilled that sooner rather than later. We were supposed to be celebrating with my sister and BIL in Atlanta at a swank restaurant. But tonight we will be celebrating with our girls and take out kick ass ramen from a new restaurant that just opened this week in the midst of the pandemic. I bought some tulips and he said that would be his gift to me. So I told him he can go out and buy a bottle of Vodka as a gift from me as we are out. Don’t need the big things we rarely exchange gifts as we have each other.

Wow windows are rattling from the wind. We are in a townhouse that faces E and W so the wind is hitting the end and slamming around the front and back. And we are not an end unit.
-
Thank you! Will teach the girls about that today for their extended science classes.

We did have hail but it was not big. Pea sized at best but was continual for about 1-2 min.
-
So question. We had continual flashes of lightning up here but hardly any thunder. I think my husband and I counted 2 claps. Is it because the strongest part of the storm is right overhead. It reminded me of watching lightning off in the distance about 50 miles away. Continual light show but no thunder.
-
I think Flaming Hot Cheetos may do more than that to a body.
-
Just got it up here. Hail, wind, a lot of lightning and rain hardly any thunder. Kind of nice to be woken by it.

Just got woken up by hail, lightning, wind and pouring rain! Did not expect this. What is weird is hardly any thunder.

I actually have been meal planning for close to 12 years now. Base my major grocery runs off of bi-weekly payday. I just put together my 2 week plan for this Friday. One thing we have had to change is getting the fresh stuff and keeping it for the two weeks. Have switched to Milk delivery and get our eggs and bread that way also. Lunch items seems to be what we are struggling on. With everyone home and the household not a fan of lunch meat all the time we have had to get creative. And we are glad we have had it this way for awhile as the husband has to do the shopping because I am Immune compromised.

I must remember to supply my youngest daughters teachers with Dunkin Donuts gift cards on a monthly basis as danger money when school goes back to normal. I would send them liquor but not sure how well that would fly with her delivering it.

What in Tarnation did you do to that poor piece of corn!

Opened the deck up this weekend. Power washed and got furniture out. Sitting at my outside table and writing this response and looking at all the variations of green.

Glad I can add a bit of brightness to your day. I really enjoy cooking/baking. I like to show my girls that you can find the time to cook/bake and that your meals do not have to be complicated to be fresh, healthy and quick. And needed the drink so made the husband look at the budget and squeeze in a liquor run. He got a large bottle of his favorite tequila and gin as stuff was on sale. As for the baking aisle, yes they have been like the TP aisle as of late. Flour was my latest hard find. As for yeast our local Co-op The Common Market has yeast in bulk in the refrigerated section. So I was able to pick up quite a bit and store it in the fridge here at home. I am also finding recipes that do not use flour. Oldest daughter is making triple citrus bars today that require a small amount of sugar and graham crackers or animal crackers crushed for the base. I can post it for you later if you would like to have it. You can just make it a single citrus flavor also. And I just have to say it has been way too long since I have had a chocolate cake with penuche icing! I love that combination! My mom used to make German Chocolate cake with penuche icing all the time. I may just have to make that next.

Dinner tonight Salsa Verde Chicken Enchiladas with Mexican Rice. And one of my husbands kick ass Margaritas! One of our local liquor stores if you DM them on Instagram with your list they will get it ready and meet you at the curb. Now that is service!

Finally got some clarification on weather or not we can go and see my daughters pony. But also she sees a therapist for anxiety. She has a Telehealth appt on Thrusday, and going to ask if she can get us a letter stating that seeing her pony is an essential part of her weekly therapy. It is not something I am making up it truly helps her get through her anxiety which is triggered my change. I probably do not need it but I like to cover all my bases. Maryland State Police Superintendent Colonel Woodrow Jones III has directed troopers to continue their public education and enforcement efforts regarding the Governor’s Executive Orders and last night issued specific instructions regarding the stay-at-home order. Those instructions are as follows: - Enforcement of the expanded Governor’s Executive Order will be conducted by Maryland state troopers. However, troopers will not make traffic stops simply to ask drivers where they are going to determine if their travel is essential or not. - If, in the course of the regular performance of his/her duties, such as during a crash investigation or a traffic stop, the trooper develops information indicating the individual was engaged in non-essential travel, enforcement action can be taken, in consultation with the state’s attorney’s office in that jurisdiction. - While it is not necessary for drivers in Maryland to have documentation about the purpose of travel, having such documentation may help resolve questions. - Troopers will continue to initiate enforcement action when a business or group of more than 10 people is observed in violation of the Governor’s Executive Order. - The Order does not prohibit people from going to the store to get groceries or prescriptions, seeking medical attention at an urgent care facility, getting cleaning or laundry supplies. In addition, the Order does not prevent people from going out to get necessities for pets or other livestock. - The Order allows for travel to care for a family member, friend, pets, etc. Citizens are also permitted to travel for transporting family, friends, pet or livestock for essential health and safety activities. - The Order also allows for travel to and from an educational institution to receive meals or instructional materials for distance learning. - The Order allows for outdoor exercise activities (done in accordance to with social distancing guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and crowd gatherings of 10 people or less. However, such actives may not be done at a park that has been closed by state or local government. - Restaurants can be visited if obtaining food for carry-out or drive-thru only.
