I worked at a few. First one was in Takoma Park on New Hampshire Ave. Then I worked at the Shoppers in Takoma Park by Fairview apartments, then Olney then Clinton
36 years ago I started pushing a broom for $3.25 an hour at a store called Jumbo Foods which later became Shoppers Food Warehouse. That basically was the beginning of my career in the retail industry and I have stayed in it ever since and it has ultimately afforded me a pretty comfortable and stable life. Well Shoppers is most likely going to close up shop here soon and that makes my heart heavy and sad on many levels. It is always sad to see something that had such an impact on your life go away...much like snow in the mid atlantic....but the memories will always be there and for the most part happy...much like winters in the mid atlantic.

Since it appears that weather patterns can sometimes be cyclical I'd say go back to October and see when the pattern flipped to cold in November. That would be my assumption of when we get our next run in January. If January is as much of a departure as November was...congrats Orlando.
It's a good thing it never really snows here or the times it doesn't snow would stink more. Now what stinks is people telling you over and over its not going to snow. It's like you know you're ugly and the pretty girl at the bar says to you...hey you're ugly
So it's still 32 here, even hot JYO is 32. Seriously stupid question but is freezing still 32 anymore? It sure doesn't feel like it makes ice these days
Does seem a tad low but for here a 5:15am measurement definitely missed a good bit of accumulating snow before the sleet/rain hit. All good though it's pretty out
I would imagine the Leesburg number would be adjusted, when I woke up at 5am it was really just starting to snow moderately and did so until about 6am ish. I would guess 1 to 1.5" would be more accurate after that burst.
