Kinda weird at BDL...we had the sky go pitch black (granted sun was about setting) and it looked and felt like a thunderstorm but no lightning.

Yeah, I was out with the dog here in Terryville and I could see the storm just south of us. A couple pretty close cloud to cloud or in cloud lightning strikes, not much rain.
