  1. Where do you get those maps? I tried to find them on Tidbits but no luck
  2. That was a great winter dude. Was that storm the day before the one where we had surprise extra snow from the ULL? Can't remember if it was that winter or if it was Feb 2015. I think it might have been '14. Yeah not a bad look. There are like 8 western members in the ensemble mean so we'll see. I don't like how the Canadian and Euro are almost in lockstep though. The only upside is I don't feel they can be trusted.
  3. Agreed, it never makes big moves. It will probably move like 40-50 miles NW. Interestingly I noted tonight's 00z GFS looks almost identical to that 2/15/14 Cape Cod special.
  4. Jan 2005 made the list from 12z. It was 12th out of 15
  5. CIPS Analogs: https://www.eas.slu.edu/CIPS/ANALOG/DFHR.php?reg=EC&fhr=F132&rundt=2025010612&map=tbl&sort=FINAL Some big dogs in there...1/12 and 1/27/11 included
  6. Only if the GFS can be treated as the Euro of yesteryear
  7. SnowGoose and all models except the GFS FTW? Stay tuned to the 18z runs to find out. I'd like to see the happy hour GooFuS indulge in Ronnie's stash and double down with 30-40" lollies to 50"
  8. OT obviously but the drivers in this state are some of the worst I've ever seen. I guess that applies to the whole northeast though south of I-90.
  9. Oh ok, yeah that's typical lol. It goes east or northwest or sometimes southwest. Ray thinks it's bad there but he doesn't know how jackpot resistant this area is...
  10. March '17? I must have blocked that one out. I remember it being cold in my opening beer league baseball game the next month lol
  11. I mean that's kind of to be expected in a quasi all or nothing scenario like this
  12. Any analogs (not December '92 lol) come to mind looking at that run? Feb '13?
  13. I like how the block causes it to shoot straight east from the Delmarva
  14. FWIW: https://www.eas.slu.edu/CIPS/ANALOG/DFHR.php?reg=EC&fhr=F144&rundt=2025010600&map=tbl You'll notice some ominous analogs in the top 5 including 2/10/10 and 1/20/00 I couldn't recall the storm in February of 2014 listed there but apparently the Cape got crushed: https://rightweather.com/2014/02/southern-new-england-snow-totals-february-15-2014/ Using purely analogs of the GFS evolution it would appear the ceiling of potential is 1/27/11.
  15. Gotcha...I know BDL did really well in that December 2019 storm. I don't think we got much here but I was living out in Milwaukee at the time.
  16. Yeah I was just looking at that. That storm and the one in December were good. I think I had a foot or so in each. I see southeast NY really cleaned up in the February one.
  17. Yeah I get it, your area averages like low 60s per season right? Did you get porked in December 2020? I think February '21 or '22 had a good storm here too.
