at least i saw snow and the ground is somewhat white. what a freaking nightmare this was. tracking it nearly 8 days out only for this garbage. perfect track only to have a sleetfest with token flakes. disgusting.

rain falling in the light of the streetlamps is so beautiful.

radar matches hrrr really well, doubt we see snow tonight, maybe token flakes tomorrow morning before precip ends. my god what a kick in the nuts this storm was.

gfs giving us a foot of snow less than 12hrs from onset, if we mix and get screwed i will never forget it. we will know about 10pm tonight if it si still raining or sleeting if its out to lunch and needs to be put down

rah nws should be ramping down snowfall totals for wake coming up. 12hrs of heavy sleet and rain while those to the nw get heavy snow. im nervous here by the airport bc the sleet usually overperforms, hope to see at least 1-2" of snow.

latest gfs shows the exact sleet line hrrr and rgem and nam does. not good.

looking like a sleetfest with monster snow totals up to our nw, just like a few years ago. nam sure looks like it was onto something yesterday.

i just dont get the nam being on an island 24 hrs out? esp with the rgem in line with the euro and gfs ens. really weird.

if the sref plumes gave rdu 15"+ (which it did in the 2015 storm) i'd throw it out, not concerned at all with that. gfs ens members are all hits, euro is a hit, euro ens are hits, rgem is a hit. really we are in a good spot.
