  1. That is a big factor seeming to to play out (yet again).
  2. It has already stopped if that "makes you feel any better'? LOL
  3. All the talk about trends this year...the thing that most sticks out to me about the 12Z HRRR is the lack of qpf. Outside some light scattered stuff, its basically a midnight to 4PM thing in the LSV as to that initial WAA. That qpf reduction, regardless of reason, has been happening over and over recently.
  4. 31 here this AM. HRRR steeped down a tiny bit again and is a bit more icy than previous 48 hour runs however its still 31-32 temps in the LSV.
  5. The NAM 12 is lighting up the MA board. LOL. Interesting that it has some backside FRZ for western LSV.
  6. It just happened a few weeks ago. Waynesboro cancelled school for some showers. As some have said the shortage of teachers who were healthy also played a part in that.
  7. I totally agree that calling for 1/2 to 1" of ice, like some models show, would be crazy. We have already been down that road more than once this year. Temps in the mid 20's, then you worry. At 30-32 I do not think roads are freezing whether the sun is out or not. So, then it comes down to how much ice on the trees.
  8. HRRR with another slight tick south as to trends.
  9. Check out the GFS. Definitely believe it when I see it. Maps like this have fallen to the wayside several time's this years. Maybe not this time.
  10. Palmyra schools...two hour delay, no morning kindergarten?
  11. Just taking the HRRR, the last thing I looked at, nothing major in CTP land until after dark Thursday. Over 24 hours.
  12. @paweather, the hidden 18Z HRRR which I only have access to, is a bit colder at the surface than the 12Z was...especially up your way. But it certainly does not scream life threatening ice storm with temps 31-32 at 2M for your area. I understand it is night.
  13. I bet the prospect of a windy snowstorm in mid March keeps Canderson up at nights
  14. He did go too gung ho on last weekend. Had the 50 word in there.
  15. Did you enter the contest in the MA guessing the first date one hits 70? All the dates I saw were weeks from now.
  16. Surface temps for Euro when main area of precip is over PA. HRRR is mostly rain for the LSV.
  17. The CMC's take on the extreme cold is the one after this weekend. Monday night. One could argue we are getting extreme cold at the expense of losing a snow storm.
  18. And the "coldest (or close to it) temps of the season are upcoming in the next week" pile.
