  1. I am glad I am not the only one behind. I know the folks in the Ohio Valley said they were way behind. I look up on the mountain and its January brown with a sprinkle of some other types of trees that have a bit of green now....just not the predominant maples and oaks. My neighbor has a cherry blossom like tree and it is just now blooming.
  2. If I needed some Spring Training, I should head over that way. I will admit that I have have never been headed into May with just one or two mows in. Mowing may just be 5-6 month dealio this year.
  3. You are going to be double digits ahead of me soon. I am out until at least next week. Will be going into May with 1 or 2 mows. Still not sign of leaves on the maple and oak trees.
  4. You sent me scrambling to the HRRR. Shows a couple hours of rain in the historic district but just light accums. High near 60.
  5. Indeed, MDT is -1.2 right now but will probably be above average after Monday....though the days that close out the month may beat that down to slightly below again. Some freeze warnings may be coming. Wow, that is a big batch of qpf in Western PA right now.
  6. Yea, this is typical. If MDT does not hit 80 on Sun or Mon we have a shot at something record wise. We started this discussion up here and its running now on the MA board. Between some unrealistic expectations of "wall to wall 70's" and the preponderance of more people here to lean cold, it may leave some feeling like Spring is a failure. Spring is behind a bit IMO but its not like we are in a deep freeze.
  7. The 'Biid just missed closing it out in regulation as well....after Precious was not so much so at the other end trying to shoot FT's.
  8. He turned warminista long ago. Just noticing? LOL.
  9. Eh, this is just into Mid May on the progs. Neg Nao possible, Hudson Bay/Backdoor Cold Front season. As a warminista, you should feel confident that your time is coming. LOL.
  10. Can MDT make it to 80? GFS has no temps even in the 60's after Monday....entire run. Sun/Mon is the chance.
  11. 36 for a low with some light frost. Temps did jump about an hour ago and up to 40 now. GFS has training 15-20 degrees lower than me at 2PM on Saturday!
  12. I actually thought he meant the Allegheny. So confusing.
  13. MA LR thread catching on to the "obsess over some minor cold days" theme.
  14. Not hot after Monday (probably). Sun and Mon look quite warm. 15-20 AN
  15. MDT's chance to avoid a record run. Looks sort of likely right now (hitting 80 there).
  16. Just checked the grass. It shrunk liked a frightened turtle so no cut this week. Going to go into the last week of April with only one cut and empty Oak and Maple trees. Either I am terrible at horticulture or Spring has not sprung here yet. The maple leaves are going to have a very short life span this year. Thought tomorrow would be a shorts day but Nam/GFS says get more pants out.
  17. Still quite high out this way....ridge tops maybe.
  18. Yea, it's defintely been a rocky spring. Some extreme highs but despite it being near normal, if feels like it has been below. The temps on the ec and gfs, next week, are very anomalous as the jet stream dips under us again...neg nao we needed in the winter has been persistently returning in April.
  19. I actually avoided posting the NCEP Temp Percentages map for that time frame. Its fairly likely its going to be BN so did not want to stomp. Snow chances are just the luck of the draw per se. Warm probably 2-3 of the next 5 or 6 days.
  20. 18 GFS has a clipper like system bringing an appreciable snow to SW PA on April 27th/28th. Book it? Hardly...but like the rest of the last two months, something may come out in the wash with the cold air around. This April has been better winter wise than some of our recent Decembers.
  21. We did not get almost 4" here though if the radar was simulated we very well could have. Regardless it says regional ob's so not much about it makes sense.
  22. Weather channel really playing up the impact of this storm in Binghamton. A record setting with massive power outages.
