  1. Yep, I am betting against it. Especially for MDT. No model except the EC has MDT above 90 for 6 days in a row. GFS is the next closest but all but the EC has cooler temps close enough to MDT to throw it into doubt. Like I mentioned, I am going out on a big limb saying no 3 days in a row. Decent chance I fail on that one. If MDT stays below 90 tomorrow I will feel better. FWIW, next Sunday is next week so I took you literally in say 6 days above or at 90 this week which means you need tomorrow :-)
  2. EC's MDT forecast for this week (and part of next) . 2PM Temps. 9 straight days above 90 assuming 1-2 degrees adds after 2PM. Mon: 88 Tue: 93 Wed: 94 Thur: 94 Fri: 92 Sat: 96 Next Week Sun: 94 Mon: 95 Tue: 89
  3. So I do not think MDT even hits 90 until Wed and there is no heat wave this week. (3 or 5 day). Least confident about whether Tue makes it to 90 or not. Most confident that MDT does not have 5 straight days of 90 this week. Maybe not tomorrow which would mean every other day must hit 90 to make it (Tue-Sat). Saying no 3 day 90+ is a big risk on my part. But to me a heat wave has to be 5 days. The EC is your hope for a win. It is has beyond abysmal this summer. We have completely removed it from our forecasting strategy but I guess it may win at some point?
  4. Wow, can your job transfer out there or will you be off for a bit while you deal with it?
  5. The GFS's portends to 2-3 normal warm days for you next week. Those 105-110 days shown yesterday, with humidity in the 70's, would be a Heat Index of 115 or higher.
  6. Sunday AM rains proceeding toward S Central PA. Hope they make it.
  7. I did not watch the whole video so it may have mentioned this but they have found at least 2 bodies of what are suspected murders.
  8. HRRR and 3K both have Sunday AM into lunchtime rains for the LSV to go along with later Sunday rains and a decent line of convection marching through Monday. The NWS Zones (yesterday) showing 30% chance of rain for the LSV today must have meant 30% will not see rain. Quite a bit of coverage this afternoon even if not enough for many.
  9. Yea, hope we all get on the board. First cell of the day about to move into Franklin and Adams county...for the southern LSV. Zones up to 40 and 60% which is better than what I thought were the under forecast ones yesterday.
  10. I wanted the O's to win last night. Bummer.
  11. A sticky 62 for the low this Am. Windows closed 62.
  12. No accums guaranteed but ever single model I looked at has the Capitol Building getting all wet. Grids have you getting .1 to .25"
  13. No one is talking about the cloudy and on and off rain tomorrow? What kind of drought is this?
  14. I once had a tennis match rained out on one court and moved about 250 feet to another court and continued playing. The old raining in the back yard but not the front is very true down there.
  15. If bad (or good for others) summer ever gets here, its going to be a bone jarring shock. Outside the dry issues this summer has been a cake walk even for the HIA with their higher 90-91 days.
  16. GFS Keepin' the faith for Team extreme warm but it is not next week vs. the following. Does have MDT getting to or near 90 three of the next seven days but broken up a bit as to being spread out. Tue, Wed and maybe one of Thur or Fri. Either way, after Monday, it is not a cool forecast at all. The heat the following week is news story stuff.
  17. Yea, I am totally empathetic. A couple summers ago I did not mow for 6-7 weeks in a row. Only on mow 11 now as with hit the half way point of Summer (today.)
  18. Except for the often discussed and often misunderstood December (2019?) Punt debacle, I think I am a good combo of realism and enthusiasm. Not many people were calling for several areas of the LSV to break 1" this week nor the flood watch which materialized just to our south.
  19. There goes the theory that wet ground keeps the temps down. You have not had decent rain in a few days.
  20. Meso's show several lines of cells/convection coming through this weekend. Fingers crossed everyone gets some.
  21. Wake up Rouzerville...to 59 degrees. Windows open yet again. @Voyager, Chief Syrmax had some good news for you in the Brentrich thread.
