  1. He was the one who bought all my cashtown antiques I had for sale a few months ago. He drives a 1977 Chevy Nova and has over 100 cement animal figures in his front yard.
  2. With the looks of the GFS you could reach 50 before snow mow. Lots of upper 60's and 70's with a couple cold nights mixed in. Looks like this guy has figured out how to multi-task by bagging instead of plowing.
  3. Mow #27 is on the docket! Weekend frost may slow it down fairly quickly though.
  4. This mid to upper 70's might feel fairly nice on Thur.
  5. For today, late afternoon into the night (not a solid shield but rotating over many) and scattered rain into the afternoon tomorrow. 3K is similar though a bit less later tomorrow. This eventual solution really caught many off guard. AFD from NWS just 48-60 hours ago was mostly dry. As for the daily sensible weather, slim shower chances persist across portions of the lower Susquehanna Valley Monday/Tuesday nearer the upper forcing and greater moisture source. Wednesday and early Thursday look dry and fairly mild, as a warm advective southwesterly flow develops ahead of an approaching surface cold front. The just mentioned cold front is progged to cross the Commonwealth by early Friday, accompanied by at least scattered showers. The end of the week through at least next weekend looks to turn noticeably cooler at this time, as a very chilly air mass drops down from south-central Canada. The combination of this chilled air moving over the warmer Great Lakes waters, plus short-wave energy aloft should lead to at least scattered showers over northwestern PA and the Alleghenies. Farther east towards the Susquehanna Valley, downsloping should produce mainly dry weather.
  6. Still .5 to 1" more of rain for the LSV on HRRR
  7. About 2" storm total here as we got 3/4" overnight.
  8. Euro tucks the Shadow of Ian almost up into the Chesapeake Bay. Flooding rains for Eastern LSV and east. Euro also shows tomorrow's Min Max is in play and then mid to upper 70's Thur.
  9. GFS rain to go...Nam 12 is similar, Nam 3 about 1/2 of this but Nam 3 did not verify well in not showing any of the moderate rain moving westward across the Eastern LSV right now.
  10. On Sept 11th, MDT was about 3" above average for the month at that time. Dry as a bone final 2/3 with only a total of .56" over almost 3 weeks. On the other side of the coin, the Meso's are looking at a very wet next 36 hours for much of Central and Southern PA in the East as Post Ian tucks further west than previously progged.
  11. Some could stay in the 40's all day tomorrow. Looks like 50 would be the number to beat at MDT for daily min max.
  12. That "post Ian" feeder band is heading west now. Nam is almost tucked. Bad flooding going on in OC, MD, Assateague, Chincoteague
  13. It is a most miserable day over this way. Not much wind on my side. 1 3/4" of rain now. .1" per hour several hours today but a 30 min spurt of 1/3" this AM in a downpour.
  14. I heard the gust from the business owner but no verification. I had gusts into the 40's and a ton of yard cleanup. Tree down in Wayne Heights and this sign in Rou'Ville. Will not name the business but anyone familiar can figure it out. Men are uncomfortable with the store name.
  15. Some fairly bad storm damage on Route 16 through Rouzerville/Waynesboro area...going to take a pic or two. Signs and trees down (yesterday's winds gusting over 50 by the time it was done).
  16. Moderate rain and 49 degrees. About 1 1/4" so far. Areas in the far east LSV could see on and off rain until mid week....or just miss to the east.
  17. I told my wife that it would have to be something I am getting paid handsomely for as to sitting at a a game like that. But I understand why some love it.
  18. I think Pitt has easily topped Psu. Kenny Pickett may call in sick tomorrow due to embarrassment.
  19. This may just be a Global roll call but still...lets look at this piece of info bolded and extra category below.
  20. But will Pitt play as badly as PSU is playing?
  21. Yea, I think the argument is sort of silly. Sanibel is getting swamped with any decent Hurricane taking a similar path.
  22. With the possibility of a major real estate downturn, especially in the ballooned pricing of Florida, there is a chance many of those houses are not rebuilt/fixed in the near term....especially the non insured and ocean facing ones. During the housing downturn of 2008 the houses on Anna Maria Island were sold for huge discounts.
