  1. Yea, a big difference from the Hard Freeze progs about a week ago. Not sure if NWS issues a freeze warning for the borderline temps shown on this Am runs (if that verified) but could trend down.
  2. Central LSV issues. Totally sunny on this side of the mountain. Up to 52.
  3. @canderson, I see where you are getting your mid 70's predict for tomorrow...I should have guessed it right off the bat....Mr. Hot Stuff EC. LOL
  4. I am good with it, the sun is not nearly as drying now so I get a couple days off from watering. Growing season is coming to an end sometime in the next few weeks. Trying to get some grass rooted and tall enough to survive the cold and hibernate into next year.
  5. Ended up with a total of .35": of rain. About what I expected here after seeing all the dry slotting on modeling. 42 degrees this AM. Weekend still looks great for those who want to get out and do stuff. Near or over 70 each day (possibly including today) in the warmer spots. Today may not make 70 in many places but will be watching CXY to see if they continue their hot streak.
  6. You are going to outdo me in a big way. A skinny line of maybe .10" type rains coming and not much else on the radar behind it. Still 71 here.
  7. The GFS is a little cooler for the possible freeze early next week....low to mid 30's instead of mid to upper. CMC has the real freeze late next week with plentiful 20's. Piping hot, off the presses, 10:1.
  8. Cap City shot up 4 degrees in 20 or so min. Currently at 70.
  9. I think it still happens but maybe less frequently? This "cold front" today is not that though. As Canderson mentioned, some people may get quite warm this weekend.
  10. Hopefully it is not windy with the lower highs when they come...I prefer to ease into colder weather vs. a slap. LOL
  11. Partly Sunny/Partly Cloudy over here and up to 69. Maybe raise the stakes a bit for atmosphere destabilization.
  12. I would full agree with this. The times it seems to get colder than modeled are one-off surprises like this week vs. trending colder. I fear I waste a lot of typing talking about cold spells that moderate. I posted some 4-5 days ago about the chance of a hard freeze next week and now the zones say lows of 36 and 37 (and backed by the globals).
  13. I was gung ho on this up until yesterday and am still wondering now. What was a 32 Tue Am here is now a 37-40 Tue Am on the latest GFS. Same with Euro and CMC. Seems the progs are having issues determining the real press of cold air as they have vacillated back and forth for days now. We did have the night earlier this week that went way under modeled forecasts so...
  14. Going to be some temp differences between stations the next 4-5 days it would seem. Some stations could hit 70 every day until Mon or Tue while others may only hit once or twice....or there could be a day where no one hits 70.
  15. A wet 60 degrees this AM. Super windy. Slightly under 1/4" from the AM rains here.
  16. We ended up peaking at 74. Beat CXY by one degree.
  17. Rhule, fired from the Panthers, has been rumored to be getting consideration for the PSU job if the Lions do not continue on with their excellent season. James Franklin has them 5-0 and does not need rumors of his job being in trouble. He just signed a huge long term contract. College football world reacts to wild Penn State head coach news (thecomeback.com)
  18. Ah, I did not notice the game was delayed/being rained on. We are up to 73 now.
  19. We have a stiff SW breeze so sky is the limit if the sun stays out. Wind from the SW is like a heater being turned on here. On the plus side it blows our maple leaves away from the grumpy neighbors yard. He once told me "It is our tree so the leaves are also ours and we should collect them from his yard"
  20. It is mostly sunny again and jumped to 71 here.
  21. We are still filtered here as well. Not as thick as an hour or two ago.
  22. Today does the mark the earliest in fall that it has ever dipped into the 20's at MDT. 27 in 1964.
  23. Capital City is already bathing in their 70's. I knew they were warm there but consistently the warmest. Edit-MDT just joined the club.
