  1. Cloudy and a mild 46 this AM. Models keep pushing the weekend event back which is not ideal as the ULL will be too far south and could miss out on precip altogether. The Euro op has joined the other crew in showing a scenario similar to that.
  2. Who is on the MU watch this evening? Mag showed that person up!
  3. In my time back since 2018, they really do not seem to go away very long. When it is cold they are not seen but within a day or two of a warm up, out they come.
  4. For those that are big NWS zone fans, MDT now has snow and FRZ in their Sunday zone.
  5. It is sort of like when the first freeze happens, they stop freeze warnings...they know you are fully aware of the wind coming and see no need to warn you over it.
  6. 52 still here. Here is a close to forum wide view of the current temps from Wunderground reporters
  7. I would think all the decades are "near normal" except the 1950's, 1960's and 2010's. 20-30" spread over 10 years is not really a lot.
  8. That chart posted last week showing the snow season shrinking by decade was the worst news I have seen a while...but this confirms the bigger snows we have been receiving...seems bigger snows in a short time period vs. small 2-4" type deals I remember so much from my childhood.
  9. EC has some snow in the far south of PA but nothing major...temps again marginal.
  10. 12Z Euro follows in GFS's footsteps with less warm front rain for PA tomorrow and little to none in the LSV.
  11. Rain in far SE PA Sunday night. No Precip North West of there. The TT snow map does show 1-3" of snow in those rain areas of SE LSV and PA though....pivotal has some light accums as well though not nearly as wide of an area. The Icon targets a similar area with rain/snow mix Sunday night. In both cases there is not a real strong pull from the NW so all snow is based on air from above vs. anything being pulled in. Edit-The Icon snow map from WB, posted on the MA forum, is a lot more snow for the South LSV and SE PA than the TT maps. 1" for some in the far SE LSV. More N of Philly.
  12. Snow moving up the App's Sunday afternoon. Rain in Central VA.
  13. GFS running...no rain for the LSV into/through Friday. The Thursday rains pass by to the NW as the SLP is further west than previously forecast.
  14. 25 of the 50 6Z EPS members bring appreciable snow to the LSV Sunday into Monday. Temps are an issue still. I am not a big fan of forecasting meso level with the ensembles but something to still watch.
  15. 31 and about .05 of an inch of rain last night. 33 at MDT with mist (freezing fog?) Speaking of MDT, 1/4 into Feb and they stand at -3/.03 BN for the month departure wise. So far, only one day of 50 or above and each night has been 30 degrees or less. HRRR says they hit exactly 50 today.
  16. I was surprised about that tweet reply a day or two ago. A bit closed ended in the way he stated his opinion.
  17. Didn't you just post an NWS advisory showing tips to avoid heat related distress in your area? LOL.
