  1. That is probably exactly what George Washington and Abe Lincoln had in mind when thinking about the country's future! Ski Roundtop must be open on their weekend.
  2. That makes me think of another one...a chainsaw to make one of those ice sculptures. Take about a lot of work for little return when baby melts almost every day since Dec 27th.
  3. No offense to your snow blower purchase, that was the sarcastic one :-). People who bought the standard monthly billing plans for heating needs are the ones who got hurt the most. Re: if I had purchased that from my oil company, I would have paid about $1400 right now whereas I only paid about $800 buying on demand and I am sitting at 3/4 full on the tank so unlikely I purchase again this winter, They do not give you the $$$ back. It is a gamble that you can win or lose.
  4. Yea, the ski pass was the weaker one. I have spoken to a few people who said the resorts have done their best but skiing when it is 5-10 degrees AN is not what they are used to.
  5. My attempt at the top 5 worst purchases for winter 22/23 SO FAR. Not that I purchased, just in general. Not necessarily in order. 1-Snow Blower. 2-A prepaid contract for plowing your driveway. 3-A season long Ski Pass. 4-A contract for balanced heating charges (oil/gas/propane/electricity) based on 30-year norms. My overall heating bill is ~ 1/2 of what I was fearing. Lowest since I moved back in 2018 despite electricity and oil being more expensive. If one bought into one of those plans this year, they have lost hundreds if not over a thousand. 5-A large bag of ice melt/salt.
  6. Most Progs have Sat being below normal with low to mid 20's for lows and highs near 40. MDT Normal is 43/25. A small victory in a terrible winter campaign if it happens.
  7. I wish I was in Atlantic City. Would not need air conditioning there since it is 6 degrees cooler than here.
  8. You must have missed the Sunday Feb 26th snow storm on the GFS?
  9. It is not that warm out here at tennis. Clouded up, down to 61 and canderson windy.
  10. Mid and upper 70's in true central/south central. Could be some backyard readings of 80. 68 in Rou.
  11. Speaking of Chambersborg and Waynesborg, has anyone ever made more money off drawing a square and saying it was bad?
  12. Yea, there were two events and I was on Tue, my bad.
  13. I was looking at the Tue snow, I see you were a day later.
  14. I am expecting a 70 temp when tennis starts today. Currently 70 at CXY, 65 at MDT, 66 at ROU.
  15. Hmm, my view on pivotal is mostly snow or mixed with the warm front but it is not much either way. It is rain in Lanco though.
  16. The euro is rolling. Delays the cold a bit on Fri.
  17. 12Z GFS was disappointing in that it adjusted the wave locations a bit next week so we get cold rain instead of snow. Then it goes dry and cold for a period of 4-5 days going into the following week followed by another cold rain/ice event and then more cold and dry. CMC is totally different though and has two near misses for much of PA next.
  18. We have picked up the pace here getting up to 57 now.
  19. The HRRR still has the Great Valley to my west getting to the mid 70's today.
