  1. Yep, groundhogs delight. Quite the boondoggle yesterday with plowable snow in the Lsv.
  2. A few robins milling about in the yard. They obviously do not read JB's twitters and the coming winter smack down.
  3. Short term, the global's have trended south with the Monday night wave and spread snow through the North and NE quarter of PA again with 2 of them spreading snow/mixed down in to the LSV. Not a forecast, just model speak and very minor on ground truth. The Weather World Whirling Dervish
  4. I bet it is hard. I struggle letting go of stuff too....I always think what if I need this in the future and will have to buy it again or in your case, do I want to get rid of family stuff. Hopefully it does well, and you can go away knowing that what they collected was worth something to someone else and you. If the buyers knew the story of the stuff it would probably add sentimental value for them as well.
  5. 36 here this Am. The highest's it has been in about 20 hours was 39 .25" of snow (on a ratio of probably close to 3-1), a little sleet, ~1/10" accretion of freezing rain and .75" of plain rain (estimated) for the last storm. Some areas North of me between Chambersburg and Gettysburg (in the LSV) were around 2" of snow with better surface temps to accumulate. On that Euro run.... Less snow in Leesburg, VA--Check Snowy Cashtown/Coop_Mason--Check Snow in Brooklyn--Check Snowy Manchester, MD--Check One of the lowest numbers on the map in Harrisburg--Check Has all the makings of a winner though relying on a low to form on a cutters warm front/transferring without missing us is risky "blizz"ness.
  6. Alert posted on the MA thread for a thunderstorm near Blacksburg, VA moving @ 100MPH.
  7. My weather is not valid to him. We had half inch of snow and a couple hours of freezing rain.
  8. Down to 31 here with light freezing rain. Trees starting to glaze though very windy so limiting it a bit.
  9. Mix of rain and snow here and still 32. White mulch and grass....roof snow has melted (what we do in the Winter of 22/23. Take all snow seriously.
  10. My Windows weather icon in the task bar simply says wind. It did say heavy snow a few min ago.
  11. You made a good call in the column being "under modeled". That has happened 2-3 times this season. If the HRRR is right (this time, it failed today) the Northern LSV has a winter threat tonight. You and I not so much though you had one panel with purple.
  12. I see the same up north of Pen Mark Park. That extra 400-600' they have helped it accumulate but if it was colder it would look like that here. It has snowed enough. All day snow.
  13. 32 here now with mod snow. Grass is white, roofs white, cars white, etc...still a bit warm to lay on the road except when it goes Sn ++ for a bit. The latest HRRR has moved the sleet bomb south to at times encompass the Central and Northern LSV tonight. Temps 33-35 during the precip.
  14. NEWSFLASH!! Heisy just blew up the Brooklyn Bridge. More info after the EPS rolls. LOL.
  15. This is one of my more favorites "busts or close bust" in a while. It is snowing as hard as anytime in the season so far. Driveway starting to cave. Good call by @MAG5035 a few days ago...ignored the naysay.
  16. Snow+ here, Dillsburg and Gettysburg right now. A full on model bust (for those that showed just rain, some did have something similar) for the early part of the storm.
  17. Just saw it is sleeting near DC and snowing as far south as Frederick.
  18. Out in fantasy land the GFS does have true artic air invade the MA. Does not kill too many peaches though as the trough is sort of spilt into two amongst the country. What it does have is ITT2 lining up our area at the end.
  19. LOL, dynamic cooling for the win? LOL, kidding. It switched back to snow here but just accumulating on the mulch. At about 1200 feet is where the snow is really laying right now. An ok event after the models had almost taken all snow away from us a day or two ago.
  20. Just turned to rain for now....about 1/2 mile up the hill they are Sn+ with roads caving (for now). Pretty surreal.
