  1. Must be related to the coming front as Johnstown is reporting similar high winds and HGR was as well.
  2. Wow, we have had gusts over 40 with sustained 25ish. It has calmed down a bit the last 30 min but was blowing all morning. A warm 62 nooner.
  3. It is way too windy today for no Canderson posts about it. At least over here.
  4. I think the last one to hit in this area was Hurricane Sebastian.
  5. We had several occasions for shoveling last year over here but none this year of course.
  6. I would have but it was too windy to sweat today so no towel. Everything I am looking at shows real spring kicking in about 8-9 days from now so the sweat towel will be out then. Chilly next week. CMC has some hard freezes.
  7. My zone forecast says snow Tue night and Wed. LOL. I just put the shovel away!
  8. Put down some grass seed today as things are greening up and finally some buds on the Maple. Going to be blooming in early April. High of 61.
  9. I thought I saw some snow as well but did not check the column to verify if it was possible so kept it to myself.
  10. Our Northern folks have something to watch tomorrow. Cherry picked a higher one but most models have snow for north PA.
  11. 37 this AM. As we close in on the end of the first 1/3 of Met Spring, MDT stands at an average temp of 42.2 which is both 1.4 above normal and 1.4 above Feb's average. This will be the coolest March since 2019 after a string of warm Marches the past 3 years (that Mantra that Springs have been cold recently does not stand up for the first 1/3 of them over the past 3 years.) The current high temp for the month stands at 65 making it the 21st coolest high for all March's back to 1889. Looking strictly at zone forecasts, after today the highs are to stay at or below normal through the end of the month so 65 would stand as the high unless there is a bust today.
  12. And....then they do a Cap thing.
  13. Gutsy comeback by the Caps!
  14. Late nooners. 39 at Rou...in Chambersburg right now and car therm has 42 with steady drizzle. Colder than most Feb days. It has been in the 30's for over 17 straight hours at home.
  15. Heavy rain this AM was a nice stat padder to give us about 1.65" for the last few days. Windy, raw and 38 right now.
  16. I had that one clap/rumble over here. The HRRR and 3K are pretty sparce after this line going through now....
  17. Plethora of mid to upper 30's up and down the West side facing areas of the South Mountain Chain as far south as Central MD/just north of Frederick. South Moutain does well with SE Winds.
  18. Heavy rain now and windy now...back down to 36. Neighbors Wundermap Temp down from 38 to 37. Miserable out
  19. Yea, I had updated my post but you did not see it...had a rumble of thunder a moment after hitting submit.
  20. You are not ruining my morning, but my 35 OB was a good 10-15 min before I posted it, I had just not sat down yet to post it here. It raised 2 degrees in an hour as of now. Pretty normal with SE winds at 10-15MPH. SW winds and I would be higher. I would never bet money that I was not a degree off, but my neighbor's Wunderground public temp is 38 so I am fine with my 37 as his rig is lower than mine at 3-4 feet. Those ob's you posted were over near Waynesboro. Just had a clap of thunder here.
  21. It has actually raised up to 37 since the heavier rained moved in. Here are the two local Wunderground temps. Spot on within a degree. Just warmer over your way. I have two therms and average when they are not the same...one at 5 feet and one at 10 feet. Those 40's on your map are nowhere near me.
  22. 35 and drizzle this AM. Heavy rain not too far to my west. Not much Spring the rest of March on the globals but signs that the second month of Spring is starting to assert itself. Until then a few wet snow chances mostly middle PA and north.
