That would make the bulbs come up. EC has a similar but MUCH less drastic depiction of the SER and a cutting washing AN temps over us. GFS has highs in the 30's. LOL. This is the same day the Euro AI had a big snow storm.

Yea, I have learned that if I delve too much into details it is a bit of waste but just glad some progs are showing a juiced up Southern Stream so we have a shot if the cold can time well.

No worries having as many threads as needed, I am just not going to change because other people cannot get along. When paweather said "Why" this AM I thought he was saying he had not read the news (regardless of what side one is on). I should have just kept my mouth shut. LOL

I will not be participating in a banter thread. No offense to you ITT. This board is dead most of the year and we self regulate and only banter during slow times. There is already a banter thread for people to talk politics. So if I banter and someone does not want to read it, block me. I will try to not banter though to make it a fix that way. Easy/Peasy.

Rumor has it that the Euro AI looks so good for snow the first week of Feb, people are dropping their phones in excitement.

We certainly need the rain but it is a shame Friday is probably going to ruin this being the second driest ever at MDT. We may not even be top 20 by the time Friday is over.

Most guidance has them petering out in the Northern and Western LSV but you know how it is. With the temps as is, there is not going to be a lot of accums down here. AOO "could" get slammed tomorrow. They may get a WAA.

31 and about 50% pack coverage left. Will pretty much be gone today. Snow squall day upcoming tomorrow.

Then the vort in the west states ion the previous panel comes calling. A bit north for an all out snow but tracking pants/shorts required. All of this is predicated on help from the North and Atlantic to fed off any warm ups and keep the boundary to our south. Eventually uts and we go to rain after a lot of wintery preip. Will be different in 6 hours but a pbp is a pbp.

Trying to attack PA but confluence is not budging enough.

First week of Feb shaping up quite chilly on the GFS after one day near or slightly an (talking highs). GFS slowly pushes the boundary further and further south as the week wears on...in a very zonal flow. How Chilly? It is snowing in coastal NC on Thursday the 6th.

Later this week, 12Z GFS not getting it done for South PA and a questionable mix for North PA....but one thing to note re: historical records. The rain arrives at MDT on Friday which is still Jan putting the second driest Jan ever rank at risk.

For me it will feel worse at "breezy" and mid to upper 30's than anytime last week.

That graphic is infuriating in trying to read the small digits and it flipping back and forth but I have decoded it to see it says the 'Burg is going to be very windy and blowing around any snow that make sit this far south. Clipper is still a bit too far north as the boundary is not south like we need it.

They have since dipped to 10 or 11. Trump is really putting ICE to work.
