  1. Unfortunately that's probably the game we play trying to hope for a partial phase. It's a one in whatever chance.
  2. I imagine people like us, snow hours coming off the highs of the 1960"s, probably complained like us as well as they grew used to it thoughtful then we're cut off. Though I did notice that as the decade wore on the totals slowly went down from there peaks early on...so they were weaned off it to some degree.
  3. We seem to really be in a wind tunnel rising up the side of the range. I got the speed from a local Wunderground report but I can hear it very loudly so I knew it was up there. Mostly gusty....sustained is in the low teens.
  4. Mildly interesting that most short term models are advertising 2-6" over a fairly sizable portion of PA but no WWA's. Edit-Here is the latest HRR but the 3K Nam and WRF's are signalling a pasting in even a larger area. NWS is going against it looking at their zones and AFD. The HRR even gets it into Dauphin county tomorrow.
  5. GFS version of the SB Weekend storm. A bit close for S/E folks.
  6. There you go. Jim Cantore with the high hair and I looked at MDT's 92 totals before sending that post but did not go out past that. Had just never heard anyone says Blizzard of 92 but my sometimes unfortunate LSV shaded glasses may have blinded me. I did make a post for the benefit of our Williamsport friends today so I am not always selfish.
  7. The talk of the detriment it will do to bars in the North East will be getting ramped up soon.
  8. I thought of you and @pawatch when I saw the WSW totals near you.
  9. Yikes. The selfies are going a bit far all of a sudden. Put that snowmobile back in the shed!
  10. Of course for me personally my best snow is going to be when I bring up the CTP Radar and the screen is completed filled with DBZ's piling in from S/E to NW. That look always means we are measuring in feet and and we are in the meaty quadrant of CCB snow. I need the low to tuck in just a bit further South than NJ. So tuck or no tuck I say to Lupe please give us a DelMarVa tuck. I think you would be safe with that as well.
  11. One Weenie tag for you not waiting for Blizz. Interesting thing about this one as it pertains to meteorology is that with a low that far off the coast we would usually want a full phase to explode possibilities but after looking at the temps I think keeping them separate but still partially interacting is the way to go.
  12. Euro is close to seeing us go to the next "phase" of finally getting a snow storm...better than the cold front passage of yesterday. Not posting the snow map for this one. That is @Blizzard of 93 job whether he was born in 93 or not.
  13. I thought of that but was not sure someone would do something confusing like that. What if you were born in 1969?
  14. I think with temps you can punt much longer periods. Storms yea they change every 6 hours. If almost every bit of weather modeling shows warm temps for a two week period it is rare they are wrong big picture. Seems the MA thread is excited about the next two weeks. Almost like they are daring the HM's to punt.
  15. DT punts every month. We are in the game the next few weeks regardless if anything works out or not. Not like its warm.
  16. Blizzard92? It must have been one of those "technical a blizzard but only 2" of snow" blizzards or he lived somewhere else in 92. It would be interesting to hear some climate theories on why the 60's were so snowy. Having random snowy years is just random but to have them consecutive like that would suggest something caused it.
  17. That storm probably made a lot of people on here heroes if they trusted the nam. To this day I have two people who talk about how I was the only one who knew 30" was coming. I thought that storm may have also began the reign of cashtown as the snow capital but may be thinking of another one.
