  1. I saw they are closing state parks in many states. If that happens in PA and MD the weekends are going to be INCREDIBLY not fun. Working at home much of my life I really look forward to getting out. I realize I need to stay away from others and so far the parks have not been crowded in this area but am worried...App Trail is a bit hilly for my wife's liking. Of course this weekend may be a wash out anyway.
  2. The Washington Capitals beat the Jackets 5-3 last night to win their series and advance to the second round. I am anticipating the Penguins series. This is their year...I can feel it!!
  3. You can still wager on the Turkish Professional Basketball League :-)
  4. I think that is going to be all 48 eventually...if not 50. PA just did two more weeks,
  5. The governors specific wording was actually something like "If someones life is not on the line, do not leave home" but I do see now the article is updated and it says they expect (no actual word) grocery store trips will be allowed. In Italy they did this similar thing and grocery trips were only allowed by permit. Either way some of the hoarders are being made to look right now. I could not get pop tarts yesterday. Some how the hoarders descended on them.
  6. This order means no going to CVS, no grocery stores, etc....hospital visits only. They tell people not to hoard food but then do this??
  7. LOL, none of us are fools and most everyone here very much appreciates what you are doing so do not take offense to it. We are seemingly about to go into a very dark time for our country so we all need to band together to get through this and forums like this one help us have an outlet and friends to talk with. There is a good chance many of us here are going to be unemployed soon so the lack of snow is going to be not important. Still this winter season is apparently going to go down as the worst on record for MDT.
  8. You are still in the game. Laurels to Scranton could get a decent slop storm.
  9. I could not just ignore it and not post. I was hopeful....
  10. Well we are pretty much down to the NAM and to a lesser extent the Canadian in the LSV. Euro lessens the WAA and now takes the surface low up to the Mason Dixon. Pulling the plug on the hopes and mowing.
  11. I think I am going to mow after seeing Daxx's comment about not be able to mow next week. Just hate to mow then snow falls on the grass. Could damage it.
  12. 12Z Nam has mislead us in marginal situations this year but still wants to bring the good while we are sleeping Monday AM. Temps right at freezing.
  13. I had to edge this week. Edging in mid March. WTH.
  14. 0z nam would have been an excessively heavy wet snow for many if it just kept the low on a slightly more EAST trajectory as it formed and climbed through the DelMarVa.
  15. I still think it could snow Monday and am lazy so do not want to remove the A/C cover.
  16. We have reached 80. Itssweatingtime for the win. Winds are ferocious.
  17. Including in my house where it is 75 now. Its going to be an open window night.
  18. The GFS certainly does not like snow prospects.
  19. I am still down with heavy wet snow from Laurels North and East from there.
  20. I personally do not think it is going to get into house invasion issues or highway piracy.
  21. Yep. With some areas now cancelling school until next fall there is a general sense that this is not going to go away. In theory how could it when look at Europe. We cannot get to the point of trying random drugs on people as that could lead to even more issues. Its like a see saw....lives vs economy. Best case for many will be what @pasnownut suggested may be in his future...a furlough/temp layoff the company picks up where it left off in a while.
  22. I am in construction right now but the corporate side of it. If they shut down our job sites I cannot see the company staying open (furlough).
  23. I can understand the theory behind it. There is no way to practice social distancing on a large, active construction site yet peoples stuff will still break during this time frame some home improvement stores will need to be open if possible.
  24. On the hopeful side it seems like almost everyone is gearing up to handle the crisis from government checks to being allowed to delay mortgage payments. I am hopeful this is not going to be as bad as the 2007-2010 time frame. Some government officials comparing this to the great recession are freaking people.
