  1. Listening to Dr. Birx talk about models not adding up to reality on the ground made me think about our whole last winter as it pertained to GFS LR forecasts.
  2. We had some big white parachutes mixed in when the rain came down.
  3. I like to see his battles with reporters. The stuff before that is usually just repetitive self admiration. On the subject of weather MDT did officially record a trace yesterday...matching their February totals.
  4. I have mostly looked at him as a puppet for people controlling him from behind. Like sending Grandpa up to be the family Patriarch while the real leaders run the show in the background. Problem is Grandpa runs at the mouth. And why do we need a stimulus now if we are close to opening everything back up again? Sure people will have missed 2-3 weeks of work but not sure we need to put a huge dent in our future SS for that.
  5. No doubt. My statement was made in jest. A case can be made at this point that he is incompetent and unfit to continue leading. His laissez faire like approach to this weeks ago has limited the effectiveness of what we are doing now and he has come full circle back around to being on that train again. There is more than anecdotal evidence that he changed his mind about the virus again after watching a Foxnews show on Sunday AM. I do not know what will happen with this virus but messages like his, last evening, are not helping when just hours before more Governors are cracking down on their states, VA is cancelling schools for the rest of the year, and WHO is warning that the US is going to be the next epicenter. Most experts think April is going to be terrible so Trump should cool his heels and wait before making proclamations.
  6. He truly should be an inspiration to many that anyone can be President.
  7. Well trump said we should get ready to open it up again. No hard, no foul. Get back to work everyone. Forget everything he said the last week.
  8. I saw they are closing state parks in many states. If that happens in PA and MD the weekends are going to be INCREDIBLY not fun. Working at home much of my life I really look forward to getting out. I realize I need to stay away from others and so far the parks have not been crowded in this area but am worried...App Trail is a bit hilly for my wife's liking. Of course this weekend may be a wash out anyway.
  9. The Washington Capitals beat the Jackets 5-3 last night to win their series and advance to the second round. I am anticipating the Penguins series. This is their year...I can feel it!!
  10. You can still wager on the Turkish Professional Basketball League :-)
  11. I think that is going to be all 48 eventually...if not 50. PA just did two more weeks,
  12. The governors specific wording was actually something like "If someones life is not on the line, do not leave home" but I do see now the article is updated and it says they expect (no actual word) grocery store trips will be allowed. In Italy they did this similar thing and grocery trips were only allowed by permit. Either way some of the hoarders are being made to look right now. I could not get pop tarts yesterday. Some how the hoarders descended on them.
  13. This order means no going to CVS, no grocery stores, etc....hospital visits only. They tell people not to hoard food but then do this??
  14. LOL, none of us are fools and most everyone here very much appreciates what you are doing so do not take offense to it. We are seemingly about to go into a very dark time for our country so we all need to band together to get through this and forums like this one help us have an outlet and friends to talk with. There is a good chance many of us here are going to be unemployed soon so the lack of snow is going to be not important. Still this winter season is apparently going to go down as the worst on record for MDT.
  15. You are still in the game. Laurels to Scranton could get a decent slop storm.
  16. I could not just ignore it and not post. I was hopeful....
  17. Well we are pretty much down to the NAM and to a lesser extent the Canadian in the LSV. Euro lessens the WAA and now takes the surface low up to the Mason Dixon. Pulling the plug on the hopes and mowing.
  18. I think I am going to mow after seeing Daxx's comment about not be able to mow next week. Just hate to mow then snow falls on the grass. Could damage it.
  19. 12Z Nam has mislead us in marginal situations this year but still wants to bring the good while we are sleeping Monday AM. Temps right at freezing.
  20. I had to edge this week. Edging in mid March. WTH.
  21. 0z nam would have been an excessively heavy wet snow for many if it just kept the low on a slightly more EAST trajectory as it formed and climbed through the DelMarVa.
  22. I still think it could snow Monday and am lazy so do not want to remove the A/C cover.
  23. We have reached 80. Itssweatingtime for the win. Winds are ferocious.
  24. Including in my house where it is 75 now. Its going to be an open window night.
