  1. Been snowing on and off here all day. Once of the more wintery like days of 2020.
  2. Reports of some snow flying in Western Franklin County with heavy rates. The sky here is as dark as it would be with a thunderstorm approaching.
  3. And the NWS dropped the ball again with no WWA for you!! :-)
  4. Would say we are in the 50's here as well. Noticed zones for tomorrow says gusts into the 40's.
  5. PA just shut down school for this academic year.
  6. My right foot is a bit sore and probably could be classified as a bum foot right now. I hope it does not cause the power issues.
  7. NO snow on the GFS anymore but still going to be a couple cold weekends. Makes for terrible timing...harder to get out and do the social distancing work out thing when it is windy and cold.
  8. I saw the report on how Wuhan had cleared out as well. I think many of the planes are still flying albeit it fairly empty but car pollution has really curtailed back. This would also have an effect on people who are allergic or affected by the smog. Saw another article that said weather forecasts could in theory be less reliable due to less readings coming from some planes that have cancelled flying.
  9. Either that or people get a pin or badge when they have overcome the virus. Would be like the end of the Eye of the Beholder Twilight zone episode. Two separate groups of humans.
  10. They did just announce they are officially closed until early June.
  11. There is an article at SI.com right now saying NCAA AD's are facing the reality of no football and some are saying this could change NCAA forever. Somewhat ironic this happened right when paying players was gaining acceptance. It's a somber article.
  12. First storms we have had here in quite some time. They always seem louder at night.
  13. I think it is a somewhat fair estimate to say China screwed up as did the US. In both cases it was money which caused the poor judgement. A lot of people have taken to the mantra now 'Don't listen to Trump just look at the results of his actions' and that is a pretty fair assessment as well. The US screwed up and reacted too late but it is super magnified by Trump sound bytes making the screw up sound even worse...I suspect Trump's government did better than what some think and the focus on Trumps verbal missteps magnifies the bad side of it.
  14. Definitely do-able we we would never starve of course. These are wants vs. needs. Just hard to plan 2-3 weeks out unless you go to the store in between which defeats the purpose.
  15. Just saw one of the more trusted models (isn't this the perfect place to talk about models) says total mortality is now estimated at 80,000ish but if I am reading the info correctly it assumes schools and businesses remain closed until August!
  16. I saw the Giant online option but their time schedules for delivery is 2-3 weeks out. Hard to schedule around that.
  17. I am still working and several co-workers are saying they are doing their Easter Plans regardless of social distancing. People are tired of being separate. I suspect some level of distancing will be going into next year just a matter of what level. Your tone suggests you may have misinterpreted my initial post today. I am not at all a Trump fan but my post was more pointing out the confusion and back and forth nature of the information. Nothing wrong with looking in the future. I agree it cannot stay like this.
  18. I think a strong case can be made that either many in S Central PA have had the virus and did not notice or its not prevalent here yet. Need the tests to tell which way. The way it took over NY suggests something is different in S Central PA right now. I know hundreds of people and not one has even taken a test much less been in a situation where they needed to go to a hospital. I truly think no one knows enough to make definitive opinion on whether it will not a false alarm here or the bad has not even started yet.
  19. Its not a problem but a large portion of people I know think we are closed down for May and maybe even June....heading into a great depression level event. Some states have already cancelled school until next fall. So definitely some major differences of opinion and the waves seems to go back and forth each week. Last week most of those pressers were doom and gloom. Now I am hearing people talking about getting together for Easter so frame of mind seems to go up and down like a Yo-Yo.
  20. Below freezing for some this weekend. On the Virus talk seems the economists and optimism are ruling the day right now. It would not surprise me to see Trump start back on his "we need to open up now" rants.
  21. They have to get the antibody test going as no vaccine means we would literally run into 2021 with this issue until we can determine who has had it and can move about more freely. This is all assuming immunity after your body deals with it the first time. The case can be made that some people may try to contract this on purpose so they can be among the earlier people who "go back to work" in the summer.
  22. That is my take on it. Though best to follow for the sake of others and yourself.
  23. It really is hard to find any difference between it and what other counties were under before. Maybe some business concerns...but you can still go to a park, get take out, etc...
