I brought up Shady Maple and just read that the FDA is going to permanently recommend the closing of all salad bar based delivery of food. Wow. Had to say something as now I feel bad.
They are still actually around in Ohio, Indiana and such...Midwest. Their salad bar was nothing compared to Shady Maple but for a fast food place in Carlisle (or Lancaster) it was quite a nice deal and meal.
I used to man the salad bar at Rax (before your time) in Carlisle so a lot of us have been there. People you live with just "love" when you come home smelling like a deep fryer. I like to find rare stuff at thrift stores so walking through Mr. Ed's museum was tough to not start grabbing stuff.
This was what I read. It does have that "or states with community spread" caveat though.

Coronavirus and Travel in the United States
Should I travel within the US?
It is recommended that if you are returning to Pennsylvania from New York, New Jersey, or states with community spread of COVID-19, to stay at home for 14 days and self-monitor for symptoms.
I was listening to Wolf's 2PM call today and he seemed pretty angry about questions related to not opening but he did say they would continue looking next week at some more counties. My county is in the middle of some type of outbreak right now so not hopeful here but maybe Mr Ed's Elephant Museum and Candy store and @Cashtown_Coop can get open late May.
I did look at the PA travel order and it is more specific to CT, NY and NJ so not sure Mike has anything to worry about. I was thinking someone said it applied to all travel out of PA. I know I would not fly right now for any reason outside an emergency.
I have enjoyed seeing some of these games from the last few decades. Brings back good memories if the teams are favorites. I am surprised the Weather Channel is not replaying snips from big storms in the past...especially Hurricanes.
Its the litigious society we live in. In theory the restrictions in MD could be different than PA. Same theory of Florida inspecting all vehicles entering from NY, NJ or CT and telling them they are on a 14 days self isolate. Whether we believe in a law or not it can still be used to bring a case. There are hundreds of cases right now pending from people who were made to go to work and died. In the case of my place we had a guy who tested positive and did not tell anyone and continued to come to work and infected a customer. The customer has sued both us and him personally.
Mag breaks free....and I get my Fulton though Fulton county is not exactly known for its shopping.
Allegheny, Armstrong, Bedford, Blair, Butler, Cambria, Fayette, Fulton, Greene, Indiana, Somerset, Washington and Westmoreland,
Yea, its a tough situation and frankly if you take his situation of going to the beach I doubt anything happens unless someone died or at least was in the hospital. When someone dies all bets are off even down to the Life Insurance company coming after someone. So it depends on the order we are under. I actually had not researched it that much but if it clearly says it is ones responsibility to self isolate for 14 days after leaving the state then a case may have merit. Even what I do in going to MD to grocery shop could be taken as an offense if I then go into a PA store and infect someone especially if they end up in the hospital.
There are already law suits surrounding it. Actually we are dealing with one at my work in some manner. Whether it would hold water in a personal situation I am not sure but for employers and employees its a fairly large scale legal situation right now. I will have to find the article but in one case a wife of a husband is suing his former employer for making him go to work which in turn led to her getting the virus.
The suspense of Wolf's new chosen ones is actually getting to me...will I get to enter a non essential store anytime in the next 4 weeks? Even if I have to drive to Fulton. Will Mag open back up again? Adams county looks pretty clean is Cashtown back in the game? LOL
Its a bit misleading but I am thinking those that do not come out next Friday (anyone he announces today) are probably going to run through to June 4th. He could have picked May 28th like a lot of other Governors did but since he specifically said the 4th we can assume the harder hit counties are in for that long.
I travel between MD and PA 5-6 times a week. If it were not wet out I could probably get my laptop wifi connection to stay at one bar when I went from my PA office and walked over the MD line in a minute or two. So travel at will. No border guards. :-) But if you fly then you might be at risk for a lawsuit if you bring back something and do not self isolate.
